Absolutely despicable. Even with provocation an elbow is a brutal cowardly reaction but the fellow here did nothing at all to Gillespie (in this clip at least; but even if the two players had previous, this was an uncalled for savage act of violence from a thug who knows no better) He should be ashamed, but he won't be.

When I played I hated foul play so much - my problem was reacting split second - over holding a grudge and then elbowing someone - this clearly happens today. (both) I stopped playing the game because It wound me up to much. Refs missing clear fouls - like players tugging my arm in the box so i couldn't swivel and shoot. these little tricks are always done to players in all forms of the game. You have to deal with it - refs never see it. so you get over it or lamp them and get sent of.... I was more likely to do the later. Got into golf instead at 11. Great game  |
