I don't get why Marvel and DC use fictional cities.
Grow a pair and go all out. Instead of Ultron destroying some fictional city/country they should have him lay waste to Germany or Russia.

It definitely lessens the impact, when a fake city is attacked / destroyed. I felt the impact of the battle of Metropolis and the invasion of Wakanda as if they were real places. My problem with DC's fictional geographies is that they are not very well defined and they don't mesh well with our real world. DC would be better off entirely ignoring real-world culture, music, politics and other references.
