Tom Flores. Looked on as a push button coach but his teams were always prepared. They handled all the rigamarole with the 1982 strike and the LA move. .610 winning percentage in Oakland and twice as many titles as Madden. But he was wallpaper paste, especially when compared to John Madden.

I think Marty Schottenheimer gets a poor wrap, or did while he was active. 200 wins, .613 winning %. He's often lumped in with Andy Reid, but Reid does more to self implode his team than Marty. I also think Marty was almost too successful in the regular season, his teams & personnel didn't know how to be emotionally prepared in January.
I'm not saying Marty is some lost saviour. I just think his playoff futility is more notable because he should've won more. The Andy Reids of the world on the other hand do it to themselves.

Honestly, I think Andy Reid is highly under rated as a head coach. Sure he's never won a Super Bowl but I'd still argue he's probably one of the top 5 coaches in football today. He wins wherever he's been and with a bunch of different players around him and different styles of teams. He just has this ability to adapt to the teams that he has on the field. Something I wish Mike McCarthy could do. People make jokes about his clock management fine, but then you've got to look at the rest of what he does and realize he is one hell of a coach that I feel like doesn't get enough recognition.

Andy Reid? Marty Shityhemer?? No way.... these guys were blessed with great teams wherever they've been and only one Super Bowl appearance between them. No thanks.
Tom Flores was a great call.
How bout Joe Gibbs? Never hear him mentioned amongst the truly great coaches, but he won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different quarterbacks. Would Belichek win Super Bowls without Tom Brady? Would Bill Walsh have won his without Joe Montana? Joe Gibbs was a great coach.

Andy Reid
Haters will hate. Just like McNabb
No Eagles team had a run like the Reid / McNabb era - the greatest coach and QB in franchise history

Sir Alex Ferguson. His record in winning 2 league titles at Aberdeen is proof enough of his managerial skills. His record at Manchester United is simply other worldly. Remember, when he took over, Man Utd were looking at relegation and lost in the league to Oxford Utd in Fergies 1st game.....
