I still can't believe how early the season starts, but I'm all in. I love how early on now we have all of these 'mini tourneys' with elite programs squaring off. It's great stuff to hold you over during the Holidays until Conference Wars kick off in January ..... I'm really torn on the whole '1 and done' system but it is what it is. I love college football but am soured on the 4 team Playoff - to me there's nothing in sports like March Madness. It's the greatest Sports Theater/Emotional Rollercoaster/Drama out there over an extended month or so..... |

What a great way to start the season. The NCAA sure has figured out how to promote the sport. There's no better way to start the season than 4 of the biggest names in college basketball playing each other.
Start with a bang, end with a bang.

What a great way to start the season. The NCAA sure has figured out how to promote the sport. There's no better way to start the season than 4 of the biggest names in college basketball playing each other. Start with a bang, end with a bang. completely agree. these little min tourneys are epic I think we're all (most of us) getting in the festive mood this time of year - still concentrating on the NFL, college football, World Series just ended, NHL started up, NBA started up - it's just to give us a 'taste' to keep our interest peaked during the holidays - before the conference wars start in January.......... how are your Hawkeyes looking? |

how are your Hawkeyes looking? The Hawks have problems recruiting top level Big Ten talent. Seems like they are always on some of 4 stars lists but always lose out to the Michigan St's and Kansas's, and even Duke and North Carolina. Unfortunately I see them finishing near the bottom of the Big Ten with no hope of a post season tournament. |

Seems like they are always on some of 4 stars lists but always lose out to the Michigan St's and Kansas's, and even Duke and North Carolina. As a mid-major/Mountain West guy, I'm very excited to watch Nevada this year. They are starting off ranked 7th in the AP, and I'll be rooting for them (except when they play San Diego State). Michigan is at #19 and then Purdue at #24. remember when Ohio State used to be good? i'm intrigued by Nevada's and Tennessee's high rankings...... |
