Rick Ford (Jason Statham) from SPY (though I think he'd work best with a foil like McCarthy)

JFK from Bubba Ho Tep.
Is he really or does he just think that he is? If the latter, how did he get that way?

Capt. Munro Kelly (Ernie Hudson), Congo (1995). Absolutely ridiculous movie (which I nevertheless love), brilliant character.

Something tells me Spy (2015) started out like that. A good premise, but I was thinking more of the modern incarnation of the character who is a capable field agent in her own right.

Agreed with Dr. Loomis from "Halloween." Especially with the anthology angle they were trying to take with "Season of the Witch," Loomis could have been the sort of recurring presence that tied the franchise together. Sort of like a Rod Serling (of the "Twilight Zone" for anyone who doesn't know him), but not necessarily a narrator. Something like a Serling/Dr. Who mix...
-Egon from "Ghostbusters" (I want to see him in grad school, geeking out over fungus)
-The landlord from "The Big Lebowski" (maybe a "Whiplash" style story of him learning to perform his interpretive dance)
-Donny from "The Big Lebowski" (it's said he grew up surfing...I just want to see Steve Buscemi shredding the west coast)
-The naked guy from "PCU" (all the main characters seem really happy and validated to see him show up at their big party...why?)
-"Wayne's World" but as "Garth's World"
-The guy on the couch (Steven Wright) from "Half Baked"
-Mrs. Vorhees from "Friday the 13th" slowly losing her mind over her son being taunted and tortured
and one more...
-The clown from "Billy Madison" or the big guy from "Happy Gilmore." Some people find it grating, but I love Sandler's humor...particularly with his ability to make his side characters memorable, even if they aren't featured very much. Jon Lovitz in "The Wedding Singer" or Chris Farley and Norm MacDonald in "Billy Madison" are examples. I really loved that clown's musical break in "Billy Madison." It's the ringtone for my phone actually.
