I never see a "modern" movie that actually talks about the current IMPORTANT issues (not trendy baloney)... I think many movies are so many years behind -- waiting for OTHERS to take the chances.

I guess you didn't see The Post. It tackles the importance of a free press, which is a pretty damned important topic in a free society. It's also very relevant in the current political climate.

Has there been a noteworthy movie about anarchists in the early 1900s? Seems timely for today.

For instance, there are a gazillion movies made about WWII and the Holocaust, and for good reason of course. But as traumatic and dramatic and defining as that period in history was...a good part of Europe suffered genocide for centuries just prior to that at the hands of the Ottoman Empire. You could make a million and one absolutely incredible movies about the stories there...yet to my knowledge Hollywood as never even made a single one on the subject matter.

Bestiality Necrophilia Well it's true though. Not that I'd want to see movies with such subjects.

How many films about architects are there? Well, I mean, not just including an architect in the story, y’know…

Well, I mean, not just including an architect in the story, y’know… I'm joking. Probably makes more sense if you've seen the movie.

There are probably 100 Hollywood movies made about The Cold War in the past 38 years.

I'd love to see a film based on the US military incursion into New Guinea against the Japanese during WWII. And the film "Objective Burma" is not what I am talking about.

War has been done to death, and most of them stink - especially those "guilty" ones where if you don't like it, you are labeled some stupid term which has no meaning.
"I, Daniel Blake" shows some of the downfalls of technology, and the Americanization of the world (cutting off benefits you paid for already)
