I'm not sure we can say it looks worst. But it certainly looks as bad. From what we've seen so far, anyway. But you can't judge a movie by its trailer, necessarily. I thought Matrix Reloaded was going to be the sickest movie of all time based on the trailer, and it was pretty mediocre. (On the other hand, the reverse usually isn't true; that is, something that looks like shit is usually as bad or worse than it looks. But not always!)

What the hell are those flying creatures ? I fear another DCEU rotten bomb heading our way It doesn't appear to take it'self all that seriously, I'll say that. It just like it's going for bombastic action and cool slowmo stuff. I guess we'll see but it seemed rather low brow.

Can anyone explain to me why the special effects in their movies are so fake looking?

It really does. I'm watching it regardless, but it looks like it'll be a disappointment.

Can anyone explain to me why the special effects in their movies are so fake looking? They blew their load on that sweet Super Bowl ad for Turkish Airlines.

Can anyone explain to me why the special effects in their movies are so fake looking? well with backgrounds and such I think it may be somewhat intentional. with characters and beings....less so, the textures didn't feel right with doomsday, and electric bursts?.....really?......*sigh* maybe i'd recommend a different vfx team.

Why would you intentionally make your movie look fake? I actually thought Doomsday looked pretty good, but that was about all the positive I had to say about the "character". You don't introduce a villain in the last 10 minutes of the movie and expect it to have some kind of impact. Just like you don't kill Superman in just his second appearance on screen. Neither of these characters carry any emotional weight. But as far as effects, I don't mean just the environments. Their movements during the fight scenes look so bad. They way they casually throw each other through buildings is so anti-climatic.

I think the artificial looking environments stem back to 300, wanting to make it feel more like a moving panel, or a moving painting rather than a standard film frame. The Doomsday's introduction, not the best idea. Now it could have worked.......if they wrote actual dialogue for Clark. Now the casualness of their superstrength and their borderline invincibility.....I can get behind since they're not humans, or enhanced humans, they are superbeings who aren't held back by much, however I do wish it was shot better/choreographed better at times. Personally I would have choreographed the Doomsday battle differently.

Can anyone explain to me why the special effects in their movies are so fake looking? A lot of it has to do with the desaturated color grading. Whenever you overindulge in color correction or alteration it makes your FX look all the more fake. Most studios have yet to learn this.

Their effects are manifestly inferior to the DCEU, but I don't think it's as bad as all this.
