The last MCU film made 2 billion, this barely crossed 600m. Do you see this as a sign of Marvel fatigue.

No, that an Ant-man movie made that much money in the first place, more than the last X-Men movie even is pretty amazing.

The last MCU film made 2 billion, this barely crossed 600m. Ant Man made $519.3 million. Ant Man 2 made $622.5 million. Doubtful that Marvel were disappointed in that. I don't think there's any such thing as superhero fatigue, Marvel fatigue, DC fatigue, or any other fatigue really. Except for bad movie fatigue. As long as Marvel keep making enjoyable movies, people will keep showing up.

not really if Logan or Deadpool 2 made more, X-men were never a billion dollar film franchise like mcu The last X-Men movie was Apocalypse and that made less than $600 million. The MCU might have billion dollar movies in it but it's made up of various side series within it where some are more popular than others. The Iron Man movies make so much, the Guardians of the Galaxy movies so much and the Ant-man movies make so much. They get a boost from being part of the MCU but only by so much.

The last MCU movie had the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. What kind of moron would expect a movie about Ant-Man and the Wasp to make anywhere near as much money as that movie? Not you of course. You totally realize it’s 100% logical that an Ant-Man/the Wasp movie wouldn’t make anywhere near as much money as an Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy movie and it has nothing to do with “Marvel fatigue”. This is just another darkpast thread, in other words another bait thread.

fatigue? Nah, have you seen the movie? It's a credit to the brand name that it made that much, AntMan2 was basically a mediocre formula movie with non-stop (inoffensive) MCU humor and sketches.
Fatigue could be construed from the disintegration of MCU shows (ratings and cancellations) but even that would be an misinterpretation; post modern TV audiences are not the movie going audiences per se, the latter are typically adults expecting substance and mature contents, whereas the latter are mostly kids and nerds.

The X-Men films are not a shared universe so you compare the two.

Ant Man and the Wasp was a pick-me-up after Infinity War. It had no villain and was a race against time. The only downer of the movie was an after credits scene. It only served to introduce a thing for the next movie. They could have edited the entire movie down to them getting Janet out and the post credit scene, then tacked it on to Infinity War as an extra at the end.

Why would you think that? AatW was a much smaller movie.

It means a film fails to make money, AatW is estimated to have made over $100m in profit, add to that it made significantly more than the first film, that means more people saw it, which means more awareness of the character which means higher DVD, Blu Ray, 4K yadda yadda sales, increased toy sales and merchandising.
Only time $100m in profit is seen as a bad thing is in the case of a BVS where the box office revenue is expected to be closer to double that.

I wasn't expecting it to be huge, and I don't think Marvel did either. But at least they know the audience to expect with a hero called Ant-Man. I had a lot of fun watching it. Loved Walton Goggins and it was a nice breather from Infinity War. Just a small and fun personal story.
