It wasnt a bad film, just boring. Too much build up, then the final 20 minutes went from 0 - 60 mph out of nowhere.
I prefer the Rob Zombie "Halloween" (2007) to this one.
My rank order...
1. Halloween (1978) 2. Halloween (2007) 3. Halloween (2018) 4. Halloween II

I thought the "too much buildup" was the best part. The film worked better for me when it was a family drama about growing up with a crazed final girl than it did once Jason Voorhees was in a Shatner mask carving up annoying Gen Zers.

How can there be “too much” buildup? That was the best part. Also, how come you only have 4 movies in your ranking? Are those the only ones you’ve seen?

I actually liked the New " HALLOWEEN" Movie. I thought that it was Great! Rob Zombie's 2 " HALLOWEEN" Movies darn well nearly killed the Franchise!

The first one 1978 is a perfect example of build up that's tense and not boring. Just because the 2018 sequel had a lot of build up didn't make it interesting. The payoff only works if I'm invested.

The only ones worth ranking. Ah, I see. Do you think the Rob Zombie films are good as Halloween (2018)?

I didn't buy the premise that Myers could get hit by a car and walk away unscathed yet a gunshot will take a couple of his fingers off. Is he a supernatural monster or just a man? Overall it was an entertaining but aggravatingly ludicrous watch.

Overall it was an entertaining but aggravatingly ludicrous watch. It's pretty much implied that he's a type of boogeyman.

It really was a let down. It had nothing to offer. Oh, well, I went in with low-expectations.

There is a special place in my heart for this one. And I thought the 1981 and 1998 sequels were both entertaining enough. That's it for me. (Though I haven't seen either RZ movie. I saw "The Devil's Rejects" and that's enough white trash to last a lifetime.)
