I believe Rick was going to die in the last season, AL said this on the last Talking Dead, until someone came up with the idea of Rick getting scooped up by the helicopter and taken away to star in three Rick Grimes movies. I'm all in for this, but I wonder if the others will ever learn the truth?

I think what is going on...at least I'm STRONGLY hoping is that the Rick Grimes movies will build toward the series finale of The Walking Dead and everything will come back together and the show will end.

I would love to see Rick again.
This last season in The Commonwealth is making the show good again.
Josh McDermitt is slaying it as Eugene.

They really should just do 1, if they’re going to do any, to properly wrap the show up. 3 is overkill and going to take way too long. It kinda takes the drama out of the final season if it’s not really going to end until Rick returns.

Never liked the idea of continuing a TV series in a different format. They'll already have like 4 spin-off shows going anyway, what's one more lol
