Ill be voting, straight republican. we are voting to determine whether the country goes in the right direction or the toilet as there is not really any middle-ground left once the democrats went off the rails as everything is pretty much hard left for many of them which I think is why there is so much conflict in today's politics. basically it's pro-USA(republicans) vs anti-USA(democrats). or... good vs evil in some ways. many on the left in power are no longer moderates (even though some extreme types try to portray themselves as moderates to get peoples votes. basically they got to hide their true intentions.) but they are more on the hard left which is just flat out bad for the country. the choice is yours

Unfortunately I know you are serious. I can't believe you came up with this garbage by yourself, so someone in your life has really freaked out your brain. Identify them and refrain from seeing them ever again. It's your only hope. Best wishes.

I really don't understand Americans' religious-like devotion to supporting and voting in two-party systems. Everyone hates Congress, yet they all vote and vote and vote to keep the status quo and the same problems churning.

What is their platform anymore besides just being anti-Trump?

Best wishes. There is nothing he said in his post that is incorrect. Why vote Democrat anymore? What is their platform anymore besides just being anti-Trump? As an independent voter, I believe the left has been far too moderate. The party that has gone completely off the rails is the Republican Party with its blind partisan devotion to Trump. I've gone into specifics on his character (or lack thereof) and inability to lead the nation properly on this board in the past, so I won't beat a dead horse. I will say he's detrimental to the future of our nation and the world at large. Still, I wouldn't say Republicans hate America, I just think some of them don't understand it. Our democracy is evolving and becoming more inclusive and representative of the people, as it always has. Meanwhile those in this thread who are encouraging people to vote Republican are suggesting anyone on the other side is 'anti-USA' and 'evil.' This inflammatory rhetoric has become all too commonplace among the Right, which is why I won't be voting for them anytime soon. There is no compromise, no common ground, no greater good to be found with anyone drawing lines in the sand and declaring the other side evil. My message to anyone reading this thread: Learn the facts, understand how they relate to your values and vote accordingly.

Their entire platform is anti-Trump. They have gone off the rails. We need to vote red to keep all of the good Trump has done over the past two years. The Democrats will try to undo it and that is a bad thing.

I really don't understand Americans' religious-like devotion to supporting and voting in two-party systems. Everyone hates Congress, yet they all vote and vote and vote to keep the status quo and the same problems churning. That's because there's no getting around the two party system, there's billions of dollars from corporations/lobbyists pumped into these two parties (more specifically mainstream esablishment Dems/Republicans) making it next to impossible for a third party to complete.

Don't many Americans realise that the Republicans and Democrats are BOTH right-wing. There is no left in American politics!

Everyone hates Congress, yet they all vote and vote and vote to keep the status quo and the same problems churning. Exactly and that is exactly why I have quit voting. Republicrats. Democans. I see it as a one party system and would vote for a 2nd party if I thought they had a snowball's chance in hell of winning. I know they won't so why bother? The system is too corrupt and powerful for me to want to take part in it and even think for a second my vote will make any kind of a difference when I see that it won't. If they want my vote then they will have to change it to a system that is more fair for everyone than just the corrupt rich and powerful.
