Who gets in off the upcoming ballot
I say: Rivera Halladay (would have got in eventually but now a first balloter with his passing) Edgar (it's his last year, he'll just make it) Mussina (Never thought he was a HOFer but with Morris getting in, he should be put in immediately) |

Well then who is worthy on the ballot for being considered 'Best of All-Time' - i.e. Elite and a game changer - perhaps Top 10 at their natural position of All-Time? Would you not agree that these HOF's are becoming incredibly watered down and it seems like any ham and egger gets in nowadays? I mean - give these guys a 'Watch' or something on their way out the door - to go in the Hall? Maybe Bonds and Clemens.......... |

Looks like Mariano Rivera won't be close to unanimous. So far with 5 known ballots: Halladay 5 Schilling, Vizquel , L. Walker 4 Bonds, Clemens, Kent, E. Martinez, McGriff, Pettitte 3 Mussina, M. Rivera 2 Helton, A. Jones, Rolen, B. Wagner 1 Berkman, Oswalt, Manny R, Sosa, M. Young 0 BBHOF Tracker |

I think the only shoe in is Rivera.
I guess Edgar gets in based on the % of ballots he was on last year. Maybe Mussina as well? I think Halladay gets in because of his untimely passing and it'll make voters want to vote for him more so than normal.

Anyone who illegally obtained and illegally used steroids to cheat the game gets all the money, awards and accolades but you don't get the Hall of fame. If you or I were caught with the drugs these guys were using, we'd be going to jail. Why should these guys be rewarded for cheating? |

Rivera, Halladay..... and EMarinez(?). I like Edgar, I think he was a solid hitter. I personally do not believe he belongs in the hall and it has nothing to do with being a DH, I think he just falls short. He was a solid hitter but didn't quite put up hall numbers. Then again, I don't think Kirby Puckett put up hall numbers so I know nothing. |
