they entertained me? and the performance enhancers did just that - 'enhanced their performance' - it did not 'define' Bonds and Clemens as already 'Elite' baseball players this is where 'ego' comes into play. one may argue 'fame', 'money' and 'power' - i'd argue 'Ego' they were competitors - one can argue 2 of the greatest competitors of our era

I do not understand this. Perhaps the greatest hitting 2nd baseman of all time and he barely gets any love in the voting. He was a guy who did not use steroids next to the most famous user, why isn't Kent almost in at this point? Nasty guy. Media hated him. Teammates hated him.

Theyโre entertaining? Fine, they can have a sidewalk star in Hollywood. The fact that they were already on a HOF career path is moot. They broke the rules and cheated. Not just stealining signs or applying too much pine tar. The stats they put up have no value.

I have no thoughts about Ty Cobb other than in the history of the game he is EASILY a top 5 player. Why are you questioning him? The book about him was fiction. As for Pete, I love him as a player, but he broke the one rule above all others, so he should not get in.
