Who's seen it? What do you think of it? I saw it on TV when I was 8 years old, the summer Men in Black came out because they had the promos on Sci-Fi channel during the commercial breaks. Even for every single death scene being massively edited for TV, it was still a very scary as hell movie and that night I got up at every sound, thinking the Blob was outside the window or something. I LOVE the movie, not as great as the original, but still love it, and a very interesting way to update the story from a mysterious alien being in a meteorite, to being a MANMADE alien being in a meteorite. This movie went THERE, it broke that sacred rule about not killing kids in horror movies...but I got to tell you, even as an 8 year old, Eddie's partially dissolved corpse looked like an old man and wasn't very convincing whatsoever. I know that Rob Zombie had plans to remake The Blob yet again, I don't know what ever came of it, GLAD it was never made, hope it IS never remade because it will NEVER be done right again. That said though, who watched it and always hoped there'd be a sequel? I saw it in the theater when I was a kid and recently rewatched it on Crackle. It’s a good movie. And they killed a kid, it made it clear anyone could get it. The 80s was a good time for horror remakes.
