You’re an athlete, a good one but not great. You get a limited no-trade clause in your contract that lists no more than 7 teams. Pick your league and the teams you would block a trade to. Reasons can be anything you want from you don’t like the city to the team sucks to your wife had an affair with the third base coach.
MLB - Houston, Cincinnati, Tampa, Miami, Washington DC, NY Mets, Detroit
NFL - Green Bay, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Washington DC, Jacksonville, Buffalo, Detroit
NBA - Sacramento, NY Knicks, Cleveland, Houston, Utah, Detroit, Atlanta
Don’t really care enough about NHL but those tiny Canadian towns are out. Sorry Winnipeg and Edmonton!

Fun idea for a thread.
MLB - Astros, Cardinals, Dodgers, Nationals, Rays
NBA - Hawks, Hornets, Magic, Mavericks, Pacers, Rockets, Wizards
NHL - Blues, Blue Jackets, Capitals, Hurricanes, Lightning, Senators, Stars
NFL - Colts, Cowboys, Jaguars, Panthers, Texans
Mostly a combo of teams I don't like and places where I wouldn't want to live unless there's a team I really like there. So for example, I wouldn't want to live in most of eastern Texas, but I like the Rangers. With the Florida teams, I'm a huge Miami fan and I'd feel like I'm betraying Miami by being on another Florida team . . . except I like the Buccaneers enough that I'd play for them. Similar deal with the Dodgers. My family has (well, or had) ties to the Angels, so I wouldn't feel right playing for the Dodgers.
I like the Washington DC area, but I just dont care for the Nationals, Wizards and Capitals --mainly for routinely killing some of my favorite teams. Same deal with the Patriots and some teams I didn't list, but I really like the Boston area and the Patriots are so good even if they regularly kill some of my teams.

Sorry Winnipeg and Edmonton! well done, this is an interesting post. I can probably make an argument why an athlete would want to play in those cities - but I get where you're going here and just pick out one to disagree with. NBA - Sac - up and coming team and you get to play in Cali. So more in line with what you're asking that is not in your list: nfl - I don't think i'd want to play in 'zona either. one may argue the nice weather - but I noticed you mentioned Jacksonville too. sometimes it's just not about 'living conditions' - i.e. weather.

I’ve never been there but I’ve never heard anyone say one single good thing about Jacksonville. It’s not even a good part of FLA like South Beach. As for Sacramento, the franchise has essentially been irrelevant other than that one year they got robbed in the playoffs.

I hate hot muggy weather - - no way I could play for any of the NFL Florida teams or any team in baseball from St Louis south who play outdoors.
Being such a Steelers fan, I'd have no trade clauses to all the rest of the AFC North cities and New England too.
The indoor sports I could play anywhere.

Why wouldn't you want to play for the Cards in MLB? They're traditionally a contender and their farm system is typically top notch and apparently the fans are crazy about baseball out there. Or do you just not like the city/area?

Been out to Cali 5 times in my life - Novato down to Dana Point - I'd literally consider just rolling out there with a duffle bag and checking into a motel and 'starting over'. It's just a different world out there ......

It's just a different world out there ...... I’ve been to San Francisco once and I loved it but I was too young and dumb to fully appreciate it. One of my bucket list items is driving the Pacific Coast Highway in a convertible.

That being said I love the Pirates’ stadium and unless you root for a rival who wouldn’t want to be a Steeler?

I'd play for the Pirates.

Their owner is an idiot. That's really the only reason. Otherwise I'd love to play in MSG 41 times a year. Also I don't know that they're poised to make any big moves. There's always talk of them landing someone and they never do.
