Philly haters this is your chance to rejoice.
Saints play the Birds next week.
The scary Saints - IMO neck and neck with the Rams right now.
Birds go 4-6 by dropping next weeks game - I think they're going to have to hope it's one of those years where the division winner goes 9-7 or 8-8 to get into the dance.

They’re two games behind the Redskins, but they play them twice. The Redskins aren’t anything special this year but a lot has to go right for the Eagles to make the playoffs. I don’t see any possible way they beat the Saints short of their team plane not showing up.

Also, I was told all off-season that there was no chance at all the Eagles miss the playoffs. The very thought was absurd. Funny how things change, huh?

Anything can can happen, but it’s clear that the magic and mojo they had last season is MIA this season. I think the better parts of Doug Pederson are now coaching in Indy and Minnesota, and that’s one of the main reasons why we suck this year.

I can't reiterate enough the loss of Blount and what he meant to them last year.
Tough big runner. Leader too. I hated that they let him walk for so cheap to Detroit.

I think a couple better questions are: 1. When's the last time a Super Bowl losing team made it back to the Super Bowl the very next year? 2. When's the last time a Super Bowl losing team made it back to the Super Bowl and won the Super Bowl the very next year?
#1 is the 1993 Buffalo Bills. The 1992 Bills lost the Super Bowl to the Cowboys and the 1993 Bills made it back to the Super Bowl, only to get beaten by the Cowboys again.
#2 is the 1972 Miami Dolphins. The 1971 Dolphins lost the Super Bowl to the Cowboys and the 1972 Dolphins went undefeated.
So that means we can rule out the Pats making it to the Super Bowl this season. The Chiefs and Steelers are the top 2 seeds in the AFC right now so it'll probably be Chiefs or Steelers vs Saints or Rams in Super Bowl LIII.

I can say I got what I asked for in a sense hoping my rivals are 'good' -
OK - nobody is good - but what we have is competition in the division to push for that '1' playoff spot represented by the NFC East
So last week of the season or so is going to be exciting/intriguing with the Skins. Boys and Birds.........

I'm not understanding the link here between a Super Bowl Winner and a 'winner' of 'The Process' with this Butler deal.

It has been a sad year. They seemingly should be winning a bunch of these games, but just cannot seem to pull a complete game together. It seems like every time the defense needs a stop, they do not get one. Luckily for the Eagles, the division sucks. They are only 2 games behind Washington and still play them twice, but it is looking dire. If they get somehow really lucky and pull off the upset this weekend, then they have a chance.
