I may not as enamored with it as when originally released, but this sequel still holds up pretty well. The story, with Peter struggling with his desire for a normal life and the stress of being Spider-Man, is probably the most compelling so far in the series. It does well to continually beat down Peter Parker for him to finally come out swinging again. Director Sam Raimi also finds a good balance of humor, action, and drama throughout. I still love the scene in the hospital with the mechanical arms wiping out the operating team. Also a rare case of the video game tie-in being pretty damn good as well.

It's still the best Spider-Man movie by far, in my opinion. Great game too. Lots of good memories playing that one. I'd say it was easily the best Spider-Man video game up until the PS3 came out.

It's aged very well. Alfred Molina was perfect casting as Doc Ock. Lots of the action scenes hold up. The bit with the New Yorkers standing up for Spider-Man is always touching.

The technical aspects of Spider-Man 2 are better and it has also aged a bit better than Spider-Man 1. However, I’ll always prefer the first for having the most nostalgia and a more witty charm to it. I never hated SM2 to begin with, but it just doesn’t resonate with me as SM1 does to this day.
It’s still an excellent sequel for what it delivers; plot, character development and action.

I remember thinking it was the best of the Raimi Sperman films. The first one was kinda goofy (I hated the Green Goblin costume), the 3rd was really goofy and a bload mess)
