Strange choice? Yes. Could have I gone with something better? Yes.
But I’ve always enjoyed it despite the hate it gets, and it has one of (if not THE) best Stan Lee cameo(s).

Yeah I think people were a bit harsh on the movie, it was a lot of fun despite it's problems.

If you want to honor the man's legacy why not read something that he actually created.
The movies just use him as a fanservice gimmick. He did not write, execute or direct them.
