There's Nolanites and there's Nolanuts there are also Far Out Space Nuts I loved that show! Gilligan in outer space!! I think Nolan had some sort of creative consultant credit on that show, he was five, so he really hadn't honed his trade quite yet.

Nope. I was already quite aware of Nolan from Memento and Insomnia before Batman Begins. In fact, it was Nolan's attachment to the movie that gave me hope it might be good, not the other way around. And outside of Batman he continued to back up my faith in him with The Prestige and Inception. I'm an unabashed Nolanite. He's yet to make a truly bad film. There's Nolanites and there's Nolanuts. Which are ye? What would you say if I said Interstellar is a really good film, but there's a little Deus ex machina in the whole being able to find and tell himself where to go from behind the bookcase for my taste? I would agree completely. If you notice, Interstellar was not one of the movies I listed as my favorite among his, although like yourself I think its an ok movie. I wasn't blown away by Dunkirk either. But I repeat, he's yet to make a TRULY BAD film. I think they're all good to excellent.
