Which is your favorite, AND WHY?
Mine? Rapace. And not just because she was the first. But rather because she had the look, raw intensity and sensuality all down pat, and sustained it through all three original films.
Rooney was very good too, but she was colder.
And admittedly as of this writing I haven't seen Foy's performance yet...

I won't vote because I haven't seen Rapace or Foy, but as someone who read the book, I'm very, very inclined to vote Mara anyway. Rapace and Foy look too pretty and soft in the role. Mara is how I pictured Lisbeth when I read the book.

While i really liked Rooney Mara, it feels like Noomi Rapace was born for that role.
I have yet to see the new one because (for some unknown reason) my local theater still doesnt have it.

Oh, come on! Rapace's intensity cannot be matched. Every thing about Mara and Foy's performances is smaller and more contracted in every regard. Even the Dragon Tattoo is smaller. I'm moonie for Noomi. She is the only Lizbeth Salander. The other two actresses, however good they may have been in other productions, just cannot fill Noomi's shoes .
