Wrong forum. Marvel has its own board. No, see -- you're supposed to freak out and get into a protracted argument over this.

That trailer stunk, and it sounds like the internet knows it.

That trailer stunk, and it sounds like the internet knows it. But he has armpit webbing! And it's only the third reboot of Spider-Man 1 in fifteen years and the second in five years! You don't think that's a recipe for a blockbuster?

Will be no doubt better than justice league Actually, the Internet is saying the Spidey trailer gave away too much, it looks like they aren't relying on Spider-Man to tell the story so they have Iron Man, the suit looks too cgi'd and they preferred Garfield's TASM2 suit, and lots of people saying they miss Garfield.

The internet also loves to whine about The Force Awakens, and yet it's generally a well-received movie in real life.

Doesn't make it a good one, and doesn't mean that a majority of Star Wars fans like it just because the unwashed masses were duped by a few sound effects and a rehashed script. But you're right: Disney paid off the majority of critics to make sure it was given the appearance of being well-received, and that translated to big money at the box office.

Okay, with that logic, when people make criticisms of the DC movies, why do you automatically think it's bad news for the DCEU? It it goes both ways. Plus, people seemed pretty mad about "Ghostbusters" (2016) and look at that bomb.

Because The Force Awakens made two billion and there have been no issues behind the scenes apart from the tragic passing of Carrie Fisher (and Debbie Reynolds). Whereas BvS got panned, under-performed, and we all watched WB go into a panic mode. If things were so dire for the new Star Wars trilogy, Disney wouldn't be going full steam ahead with their gameplan still intact. We'd be seeing reports of a lot of behind-the-scenes drama by now.

Disney seems to keep a pretty tight lid on that sort of stuff; they've always been very disciplined in that respect.

If something was going horribly wrong behind the scenes, we'd at least be seeing a re-scheduling of The Last Jedi's release date.

It in no way proves there's anything resembling discord at Lucasfilm, but wasn't it pushed back from May 2017 to December? Or was that TFA? One of them was pushed from spring to Christmas.

To my knowledge, the new Star Wars were always intended to be Christmas releases.
