Any of you plan on getting this or have listened to the discs if you have it? It's a deluxe edition of the famous White Album for the 50th anniversary with a 2018 mix, outtakes, alternate versions of songs, rehearsals, etc spread over a bunch of discs.
There is a version of "Good Night" contained in the box set that may be superior to the one on the official album with the four guys harmonizing with Ringo's vocals over some gentle fingerpicking.

I debated on whether to buy it. Kind of had my fill of outtakes with the Anthologies. Did I really need to hear three versions of Good Night? But, Jesus take the wheel, does this sound awesome. Best mixed album I’ve heard of. The original White Album tracks sound like new tunes. And the four new disks are great. A whole disk of rehearsals at George’s house blow up the myth that the White Album was just four individual efforts. Some clunkers. And not just WA stuff. Best at the end, an amazing version of Across the Universe. Recommend and not just for Beatles freaks.

MMMmmm....i was sort of gonna pass on this re-release of one of my faves of theirs as i thought [as you said with the Anthologies] not exactly had my fill....but thought that everything decent left by the Fabs has been released and exhausted...but your review, Goodman, has tipped me over and I am now probably gonna purchase it.

Oh crap. You're not going to hunt me down if you don't like it, are you? I keep finding gems on it. The version of Hey Jude could be superior to the familiar one. But the quality alone is jaw dropping. Nigel Martin, Sir George's son, did the remix. I hope he does the same for Abbey Road and Let It Be.

Farson wasn't a Good Man.

Being a huge Beatles fan I will most likely get it at some point. I really like hearing different versions of songs. It shows how many of these songs evolved into what we are used to hearing today. Not to mention the speed in which they changed their minds on arrangements or even the style in which the song was presented.
