What are your thoughts about this movie?
I saw it with my girlfriend at the time at the theater and thought it was ok, if not a bit sappy. I watched it again last night and was really touched at the depth of feeling and the great acting. The tragic tale of star-crossed lovers is an old one, but so well portrayed here. The last scene got me and I started bawling like a baby. Your thoughts?

I wanted to cry when I saw it in the theater. If you've ever had to say goodbye to someone who has meant a lot to you, then it's very relatable. My aunt thought the book was trashy, but loved the movie, which elevates it beyond it's pulpy origin.

Very good movie. One of Eastwood's best as director/actor, if not a widely seen film for him. Elderly romantic dramas aren't normally a big drawcard of course, but this one is well worth it. 7/10
