Writer of some great films and novels. Responsible for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Stepford Wives, All the President's Men, Marathon Man, A Bridge Too Far, Magic, The Princess Bride, Misery, Chaplin, and others of varying quality and success. Legendary career.
Not sure how 'tree frogs' feels about how he played Dracula, but this guy's contributions are undeniably huge.

reading the title - at first I thought my lawyer died.

I also thought King wrote Misery - and you can all beat me if you must and regard it as a 'chick flick' in a sense - but Princess Bride is a 'gem'.

related sports fact:
a large portion of fans here have always regarded the Flyers Fanbase as 'Stepfords' - i.e. a cult of creepy supporters who bow to whatever the organization does

Also a decorated author who wrote (among others) Soldier in the Rain (one of my favorite novels), which was turned into a pretty good movie starring Steve McQueen and Jackie Gleason.

First McCovey and now Goldman, Bowie last year, all my peeps. This sucks.

Heat. A sweet Burt Reynolds flick that he wrote. Marathon Man. The best thriller of the 1970s. "Is it safe?"
