We're not making Hamlet here. It's not like it takes a huge amount of acting ability to deliver the lines in a comic book action movie. This is just pulp after all despite what some people want to believe. Looks and ability to do action are most important. Just ask Arnold or Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris or Jean Claude Van Damme, or Jackie Chan or even Clint Eastwood. I'd go out on a limb and say that for superhero roles, charisma is probably more important than pure acting talent. I mean, these characters aren't usually required to do heavy drama, but they do need to be inspiring even by just standing up dressed in spandex. This is what made Gadot so successful as WW. I think everyone will agree that she's not exactly the most talented actress. Yet she has loads of charisma and appeal and that went a long way into making her a successful WW.

As this movie gets closer to release, I am getting more worried that it's going to be mediocre at best be a crap at worst. I am hoping it's great. The first reason is all the movies I go to I want greatness. Beyond that I want it as a win for the sake of DC and Comic Book/Super hero movies as a whole. I don't want either to take a hit. We all know nothing is object to quantify "Good or Bad" movies, so the studios have to use tangent metrics to determine quality. Opening Weekend, Total Gross home and abroad, critical opinion, audience's opinion sampled, etc etc. I'm hoping it hits all the marks running. I don't know if it was getting burned too many times previously to trust what I see in the trailer, but I'll be there opening weekend worried or not. . I've seen all the other DCEU movies in theaters and enjoyed all but one. Chances are, acclaim or not, I'll do the same. Like that new member uncouthly but correctly said, enjoying movies regardless of their reception doesn't make you retarded. No that does not make you retarded. Doesn't stop them making more of this shit though.
