A lot of people are saying it's solid and emotional, if predictable, sequel.
Critics Consensus: Creed II's adherence to franchise formula adds up to a sequel with few true surprises, but its time-tested generational themes still pack a solid punch.
But in fairness though, by now you should know what you're getting with a Rocky/Creed film. It's kind of the same thing with Mission: Impossible and its sequels, Fast & Furious with its sequels, Transformers with its sequels, etc. You're not going to see many franchises really reinvent the wheel much. There will always be an ounce of predictability.
Any of you planning on seeing Creed II?

You use rotten tomatoes? What you don't know how to form your own opinions?

You use rotten tomatoes? What you don't know how to form your own opinions? How can I form an opinion on a movie that isn't even out yet? Also, I posted the rotten tomatoes link since it's a site that has a collection of different reviews.

I occasionally use RT because it collects a lot of reviews in one place. If I am considering going to a movie, I sometimes check to see if there is any kind of critical consensus. If there is, and the reviews are all bad, then I will MAKE UP MY OWN MIND not to see the movie. I don't understand your remark about "can't you make up your own mind." Does that mean we have to watch every movie ourselves? We would see a lot of bad movies if we did. Checking RT has nothing to do with downloading someone else's opinions into our heads. It is just trying to find out if this is a film I will want to see.

I base my opinion of what I want to see on the actors or director, and how much I like their previous work, or if it's a sequel, how much I liked the previous installments etc, not by what some pretentious film snobs wrote on some stupid website.

Well I wasn't asking you to go to Rotten Tomatoes and get influenced by critics. I was just simply stating that reviews for Creed II were coming out and here is what some critics are saying for it. It's up to you if you want to listen/read their opinions on the film and follow those opinions if you wish.

We live in a time where people are very easily controlled. I have encountered ignorant people IRL who have based whether or not they would go see X movie on what score it had on RT. I just don't see why that site needs to be advertised at all.

I just posted that as a link, one of many, that has a collection of reviews from critics.

So it's pretty much what I was expecting then: a sequel in a long-running franchise that doesn't do anything new, but gets the job done.
I'll go see this since the original Rocky is one of my favorite films and the sequels are all watchable to varying degrees. It's cool they're bringing back Lundgren and Nielsen for this too.

I hope it’s as good as they say. I might see it NOT in theatres but probably home video (DVD or Blu-ray) if I’m busy.

Gonna skip this one regardless of the good views. If youve seen 5 boxing films, youve basically seen them all. Very formulaic films.

I won't be able to see it until it comes out on DVD but I am happy to hear that people are saying that it is Pretty Good.
