Kevin Hart. He was mildly entertaining in "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Tropical Thunder", now he just strike me as an even more irritating Chris Tucker.

Robert Downy Junior & Jonny Depp - two of teh greatest actor/performer talents of their gen that became typecast mail-it-in parodies. I miss their more character-driven work before they became blockbuster sellouts.

The Rock - Not a bad actor, but damn how many action films did he star in the past couple of years?

Morgan Freeman - I'm sick to death of seeing him in every fucking movie! The only way that could happen is if you purposely seek out movies he is in. Its actually very easy to find a movie he is not in. I mean i have almost a 1000 movies in my collection and he is only in 3-4 of the movies i have.

Michael Caine and James Mason too, likable actors who somehow survived acting in awful movies that nearly nobody heard of.
Liam Neeson, a likable actor, action movie after action movie, I have trouble telling them apart, some are good and some ain't.
Charles Bronson, after the seventies.

Sorry if it seems like I'm nitpicking, but the thread says "have worn out;" not "worn out" or "had worn out." Some users have mentioned actors who aren't working in many mainstream movies/who aren't working in any mainstream movie/who aren't working in many movies of any kind/who aren't working in any movie of any kind/who are dead. I would've agreed a couple of years ago, but CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE showed that he's willing to try to new things. Yes, it was a comedy, but he was the straight man of the duo. her character is terrible. Assuming that's true, it wouldn't be Daisy Ridley's fault. She's not a script writer. Liam Neeson, a likable actor, action movie after action movie, I have trouble telling them apart, some are good and some ain't. Again, this is someone who does take chances relatively often (more recently in THE BALLAD OF BUSTER SCRUGGS). I love the guy, but he's been in some real stinkers in the last few years But Eric Roberts isn't an A-lister. Unlike a lot of the other actors mentioned so far, he doesn't have the opportunity to be picky with roles. Kevin Hart. He was mildly entertaining in "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Tropical Thunder", now he just strike me as an even more irritating Chris Tucker. He wasn't in TROPIC THUNDER. Are you thinking about Brandon T. Jackson? Don't tell me you're thinking about Robert Downey Jr.! That would be offensive on so many levels! The Rock - Not a bad actor, but damn how many action films did he star in the past couple of years? This is the best example so far, and that's not my personal opinion. Box office experts agreed that the over-saturation of him is why SKYSCRAPER wasn't a hit. If he was a bad actor, we would all simply hate him. Instead, we're annoyed at how he wastes his talent.

VitsI don’t even watch any of his movies but from the previews and whatnot he seems to be the action star of the 2010s when he simply doesn’t earn it.

Robert De Niro and Nicolas Cage, both already mentioned, came immediately to mind. Dabney Coleman became tiresome a while back. Don't see him much anymore.

Going back 50 years ago, John Qualen became an annoying figure in John Ford movies, often playing a feisty Swedish immigrant.

I'm sure plenty of people have heard of Jaws 4 for Michael Caine. Yeah, it is getting a little tiring seeing him do all these action roles. I mean not that the movies aren't entertaining (at least the good ones), but these aren't exactly films that are challenging his acting. I mean we know what he's capable and it would be nice for him to remind us why he's such a good actor with his emotions, expressions, gestures, etc. and not just with his fists. Well there are the Death Wish films.
