I have seen The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes and Ryan's Daughter, but don't remember the score for them at all.

I've always been impressed by Leonard Rosenman's score for "Beneath The Planet Of The Apes".
Rosenman's score was reminiscent of Jerry Goldsmith's for the original, but he also incorporated his own style:
