CL is fine. Too much of a good thing is rarely if ever a positive.

CL is fine. Too much of a good thing is rarely if ever a positive. A third European League is definitely coming. "A new third European competition with 32 teams will be rubber-stamped at a Uefa meeting in Dublin early next month. So with the Champions League, Europa League and the new third contest, a total of 96 teams will compete once pre-qualifying is completed"

I'm okay with that. Not every continental Cup has be only for the richest & most famous.

Seems they are just widening it out to maximise revenue. The pressure of increased European competitions, combined with more international breaks via the Nation's League, will inevitably be at some expense to domestic leagues. Look at the continued erosion of the once great FA Cup. The big teams are obsessed with the money from European football above the FA Cup, and even above winning their domestic leagues, which is their supporters' weekly bread and butter.

As a Liverpool supporter, I'll admit that 2005 has a bit made up for never having topped the modern PL table.
