In MLB, most people would agree the Yankees have the greatest all-time team.
In NBA, most people would agree that either the Lakers or the Celtics have the greatest all-time team.
And in the NFL, most people would agree that either the Cowboys, 49ers, or Steelers have the greatest all-time team. So which of these 3 franchises has the greatest all-time team?
Note: For those who don't seem to understand what the concept of "all-time" team means, it means you can pick any player from any era who played for that franchise to build an all-time team for that franchise. So for example, you can pick Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Tony Dorsett, Charles Haley to build your team even though they didn't all play during the same era.

The Packers should probably also have been a choice, but in all honesty, I would have still voted for Dallas, anyway.

1978 Steelers have 12 Hall of Famers: Art Rooney Sr, Dan Rooney, Chuck Noll, Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, John Stallworth, Lynn Swann, Mike Webster, Joe Greene, Jack Ham, Jack Lambert, and Mel Blount.
So Hall of Famers in ownership, management, coaching, quarterback, offensive skill positions, offensive line, defensive line, linebackers, and secondary. Plus Myron Cope is in the announcers wing of the Hall of Fame.
And that's with the egregious omissions of LC Greenwood and Donnie Shell.

Really should redo this with some more teams like the Packers. They definitely belong on there with the 3 you listed. All of them are historic franchises.
If I were to line them up by key positions I'd favor them as such.
QB: 49ers with Montana and Young. I think both of them are better than the top QB's of the Cowboys or Steelers.
RB: Cowboys with Emmitt Smith and Tony Dorsett.
WR: 49ers with Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens. This one is really close though.
TE: Cowboys probably with Jason Witten I guess.
OL: Cowboys? Honestly don't really know this one but I know Larry Allen would be in there.
DL: Steelers with Joe Greene
LB: Steelers with the like of Jack Lambert, Kevin Greene, Joey Porter, James Harrison. This position is pretty stacked for them.
DB: 49ers and this one is tough because all 3 franchises have some great ones but I'm gonna go here with the likes of Deion Sanders and Ronnie Lott.
ST: Steelers with Mel Blount, Antonio Brown, Rod Woodson, Jeff Reed
Coach: 49ers with Bill Walsh
So that leaves 49ers: 4 Cowboys: 3 Steelers: 3

I’m going Steelers. It could be just familiarity but if we’re splitting hairs go with what you know.

The Packers should probably also have been a choice, but in all honesty, I would have still voted for Dallas, anyway. I think some people overlook the Packers because they don’t have a lot of players from the modern era that would qualify as an all time great. Not a fan so I don’t follow them closely but apart from Favre, Rodgers, Matthews, and the few years they had Reggie White, I’m struggling to come up with names. Yeah, the Lombardi years were legendary, but that’s ancient history in the NFL.

For some reason the NFL is the only American sport that only seems to acknowledge its championships from the 60s and on when they have decades of history before that.

Yeah, the Lombardi years were legendary, but that’s ancient history in the NFL. The Packers are kind of a forgotten dynasty in football, much like the Cleveland Browns, because most of their championships came before the merger. People only count Super Bowls because that's what the championship of the NFL is called now. The Packers have a total of 13 league championships, but people only talk about their Super Bowls. The Browns won four titles in the AAFC in the 1940s, joined the NFL and won four more titles in the 1950s. But nobody ever talks about any great players from those teams. Browns QB Otto Graham is an all time great that almost never comes up in casual conversations about the best QBs of all time. I feel like NFL history is skewed due to the merger and the creation of the 'Super Bowl.' The Bears have won nine NFL titles, but only one was called a Super Bowl. Likewise, the Giants have won 8 NFL titles, only (only!) four of which were Super Bowls. I'm not sure why we only count Super Bowls. The Yankees sure as hell count their championships from the 1920s, why don't NFL fans count pre-Super Bowl titles? You were the best team in the best professional league, a title is a title no matter what they called the game back then. On a related note, it's both sad and comical that Laker fans in LA take credit for all of their championships even though the first five were in Minneapolis and one of them wasn't even in the NBA.) Anyway, it's odd that we act like the Steelers (6), Patriots, Cowboys and 49ers (5 each) have the most championships, when in reality they only have the most Super Bowl titles. There's a difference.

It definitely counts, but I personally can name 10 Cowboys, Steelers, and 49ers for every 1 Packer. Hell, I barely know of any Eagles before the Ron Jaworski / Dick Vermeil years. Only in an abstract way - Tommy McDonald, Norm Van Brocklin, Chuck Bednarik, Pete Pihos, and that last one only because I used to work with a relative of his. I know more about the 27 Yankees than I do about the 60 Eagles. A total failing on my part, but I’ve spent so much more time learning about older baseball players compared to football players.

Indeed they do. I knew there was some idiocy like that with the NBA teams, but I couldn't remember what it was.

I'm a fan of the team so I understand that I'd know of more Packers greats than others but in my mind they'd match up with these other 3 teams very well. QBs: Rodgers, Favre, Starr RBs: Jim Taylor, Paul Hornung, Ahmad Green WRs: Sterling Sharpe, Don Hutson, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Freeman TEs: This one is a giant weak spot OL: Jerry Kramer, Chad Clifton, Josh Sitton, Forrest Gregg DL: Reggie White, Julius Peppers, Henry Jordan LB: Ray Nitschke, Clay Matthews (this one is pretty weak too) DB: Charles Woodson, Herb Adderley, Leroy Butler, Nick Collins ST: Desmond Howard, Ryan Longwell HC: Vince Lombardi I think I'd give the Packers the edge over the other 3 teams at QB, OL, HC
