So whats your opinion on the band Red Hot Chili Peppers ?
I think they have some good songs, but over all its nothing special just an ok band.
Not a fan but its not the worst band i have heard.

They have a few songs I don’t mind, but overall I think they’re pretty bad.

Not a fan at all. I find them and their music the epitome of obnoxious.

I liked Mother’s Milk and Blood Suger Sex Magik. But then they went too commercial radio friendly.

I liked Mother’s Milk and Blood Suger Sex Magik. But then they went too commercial radio friendly. BSSM is an amazing album. They had some decent songs over the next 10 years but they never evolved in any meaningful way after that and I think they have issues with most of the band not really having any songwriting abilities to speak of.

. Odd one the Chillis. I remember back a whiles always thinking 'I wanna like them' as their musicianship was ace and they had a big spark, performance wise.....but the songs were just not cutting it. (I sorta feel that way now about Beyonce...definitely got something....get some bloody decent songs) THEN The Rick Rubin steered By The Way album gave my palate the songs i thought were in them and now although I don't like all their stuff, i certainly adore a lot. Flea is a smashing bassist and Fruciante is grande. The above D0§€D is in my opinion perfect and gorgeous.

Have always disliked them.
They were ok live at Neil's Bridge Benefit 2000 show.

Pretty awful, save for about 3 songs.

Not one of my absolute favorite bands, but I like them for the most part, and I think the album One Hot Minute is particularly underrated.

Some good singles, lackluster studios albums

The Uplift Mofo Party Plan and Mother's Melk were great. All downhill from there.

They have a couple songs that I love, some songs that I really like, and some that I could go without ever hearing again.

Good musicians with some decent songs, but I'm not a big fan of their obnoxious dude bro frat style of music.

I was introduced to them a couple of years before Blood Sugar Sex Magik was released. The song "True Men Don't Kill Coyotes" is a mainstay in my playlists on my iPod.
When "Under The Bridge" was released, it was then when they had officially sold out. Anything after this...there were a few good songs.
BTW, we had taken over a retail music store in July of 1992. Blood Sugar Sex Magik was the first item we sold!

I like them, but their best days are definitely behind them; the Californication and BSSM days.
I remember they got quite bit of hate on the old imdb music board.

I remember they got quite bit of hate on the old imdb music board. Overall, I think most of that hate came from people who felt violated by the Alternative Metal/Nu-Metal and Pop-Punk that were popular during their youth in the late-90s/early-00s. And bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers were lumped into that because of their resurgent popularity around the time. I like a lot of Hip-Hop but strangely though, much of the lousy stuff during this time (and still extending into 2018) didn't seem to merit criticism from some board members.
