6 weeks ago, we were hanging out, and we were talking about alternate living. He was asking me how it was living in hostels in my 20s and early 30s, couchsurfing, etc., and even checked out videos on communes, but a religious cult? The dude is an atheist, and everything he does is anti-whateverthisplace is.. It's a SLAVE CAMP! They choose your wife/husband.. I read up a little, and showed him when he came to visit (he hadn't seen his parents for 2 years, only child) and while he agrees he doesn't put much of a response.
"Living off the land" - when he shares a room with one of the sons. Being awake at 6am, working 6 days a week, for no money! I told him he probably costs them $5, considering they have a farm, and thousands of acres in Michigan.. TED KACZYNSKI lived off the land. And he didn't have to sing songs of Jashua 20 times a day.
Anyone know anyone who was in a cult? Joined one? Commune? It's very fascinating.
