AI was a raging alcoholic who showed up to practice drunk.
He was known to love TGIFs and used to hang at the one on City Line/Belmont Ave right across the street from where I used to work.
Some legendary/horrible/awkward stories about how he used to treat the servers/bartenders there.
Kind of amazing a Legend's hangout would be a cheap family chain restaurant.
Guess this is why his body eventually broke down - which seemed like it happened overnight.

There was a rumor that Derek Tripp was held by a Los Angeles strike team while its members bet heavily against his team (New Jersey) and on the Lakers to win. Tripp's absence from the game was explained in the news as being caught in traffic while returning from a charity event.

1. Kevin Durant joined the Warriors to slow down Under Armour No capital D Decision since James’ in 2010 sent shockwaves through the NBA like Durant’s July Fourth announcement that he was signing with the Warriors two summers ago. Except, unlike James’ humbling loss to Dirk Nowitzki in the 2011 Finals, the Warriors have done exactly what everyone expected when his Players’ Tribune piece dropped: they captured two straight titles and KD won two successive Finals MVPs. Durant said winning was most important, and he wasn’t lying, despite how some self-important NBA fans might view it.

2006 NBA Finals – Dallas vs. Miami Further information: 2006 NBA Finals The 2006 NBA Finals came the year after a series that saw the second-lowest ratings in NBA Finals history. After the Detroit Pistons and the small-market San Antonio Spurs slugged it out in a seven-game series, the 2006 Finals was considered more attractive because it featured the relatively large market Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks and superstars Dirk Nowitzki, Shaquille O'Neal, and Dwyane Wade.
With the series tied at two games apiece, Game 5 was pivotal. On the final possession in overtime, Wade received an inbounds pass from mid court. Because Wade had already been in the front court prior to the inbounds of the ball, some argue that he should have been ruled ineligible to receive the pass in the backcourt and the Heat should have been called for a backcourt violation. After receiving the ball, Wade went on to drive to the basket, drawing a foul on Nowitzki. Replays would reveal that Nowitzki barely touched Wade, further angering Mavericks fans. However, the replay also showed Mavericks' guard Devin Harris grabbing Wade's arm. In between Wade's free throws, Maverick Josh Howard looked to coach Avery Johnson to see if he wanted to call for time. Howard made a timeout gesture towards his coach; referee Joe Derosa saw and charged Dallas with their final timeout.
Without a timeout, the Mavericks were forced to inbound from full court after Wade hit his second free throw. Unable to get off a shot from inside of half court as time expired, the Mavericks lost the game and the series two nights later. Game 5 had 38 fouls called against the Mavericks with only 26 against the Heat. The Mavericks shot 25 free throws as the Heat shot 49. After Game 5, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was livid; he was quoted by The Miami Herald as screaming at David Stern that "[his] league is rigged". Cuban denied making the statement,[64] and went on to write:
“ Any prudent, rational person can easily see it. The games are not rigged. Thats a complete insult to the players on the court and the incredible amount of effort they put into preparing for and playing the games. All 82 regular season and post season games. The NBA couldn't rig the games if it wanted to. And it doesn't want to. Its that simple. ” Despite his denial, Cuban was fined $250,000 by the league, not for his alleged comments, but for general "acts of misconduct" following the game.
In Game 5, Wade shot a total of 25 free throws, equaling the entire Mavericks team total.
In Game 6, the suspicious is even higher as the Heat awarded 37 free throws in oppose to Maverick 23. Where Wade shot total of 21 free throws, nearly almost match to Maverick team total, That also included the questionable fouled after he bump into Nowitzki only just stand in his way during in less than 10 second, which costed the game to them and allowing the Heat to win the game and walk away with their first championship. Following the season, Maverick Owner, Mark Cuban hired former FBI to investigate the series. But was drop out due to the risk of him being banned from life.[65]

Philly St. Joes Legend - and sad tragic story Delonte West - riding over a bridge on a motorcycle with shotguns on his back - being homeless in a fast food parking lot - after supposedly banging LeBron James Mom when he was on the Cavs - apparently West suffered(s) from Bi-Polar Disorder.
Sad tale - local Big 5 Universities used to chant cruel names to him over the birthmarks on his face.

Here's a good one.....
At some point back in the day, Tommy Heinsohn was in the studio or doing an interview with the TBS crew (Shaq,Kenny, Sir Charles, Ernie), and at some point Tommy passed some gas. Supposedly, the smell was so awful, Charles and the boys just couldn't handle it and had to leave the room.
Ha ha, you know Shaq and Charles could probably cut some nasty farts, but apparently they got nothing on the great Tommy Heinsohn! 😢

That one and I think there was a similar story in regards to a Lakers/Kings playoff series.

Anyway yeah, that was a brutal finals and clearly rigged. I stopped watching at some point during that series when Wade took it to the hole and a Dallas defender literally backed out of the way so as not to be near Wade when he made a layup, and they called a foul anyway. The replay showed the defender backing up out of the paint, there had to be at least 18" between he and Wade and the whistle blew anyway. I knew it was in the bag at that point and there was no reason to keep watching.
