I suppose there could be a six degrees between all the actors so why use him? From Wiki I used to moderate a Buffy Forum years ago, and there was a 6 Degrees of David Boreanez thread. 99.9% of the time someone could work out 6 degrees for him

It might have helped that he had 1 actor that linked him directly to Bacon (Denise Richards)

I always thought it was just because "Kevin Bacon" had the same rhythm as "separation" in the title Six Degrees of Separation. "Six Degrees of Zach Galifianakis" just doesn't have the same flow.

That was my assumption also. I guess his name got traction with his interviews, but if his name didn't rhyme, it wouldn't be worth a dime...

I recall reading somewhere that it was because he's had such a well-rounded career with such a diverse filmography, but that really sounds silly when you think about it. There are a ton of other actors with great careers like his. I do think it is indeed due to his name.

I suppose if any other actor had made the claim first, the game would be based on that name. 6 degrees of Susan Sarandon etc.
