As she is Swedish I know I ought to know very much about her, but I sadly don't.  When she was very young and was still Noomi Noren in Tre Kronor TV-series 1997 I was just watching this interview with Noomi, teleadm, and she happened to bring up that^ Swedish soap opera she appeared on which I recalled you mentioning in this thread: HirundoRustica - I know your screen name comes from a bird. Apparently Noomi's last name does too. While this other interview did require me turning on subtitles via the ‘Settings’ to know what they were saying, it proved quite interesting to listen to.

Thanks for the interview Chalice_Of_EvilIt was interesting to hear how she pronounces the letter R and OU in combination in words in sentences, Ingrid Bergman did them same when I've seen some English speaking interviews with her. It's charming and maybe not noticable to others speaking English on a daily bases. |

Wow. That is a big thread Chalice. I am honestly not that familiar with a lot of the actress's work outside of a few of the movies you listed (sorry) but I applaud you for your work you put into creating this thread for her and her other fans on here.

 teleadm - I ended up having to replace the video in which she talked about Tre Kronor, as the one I’d originally had disappeared. Luckily, I found another one where she talks about the show (it’s the black & white video which can be found in my above^ post). petrolinothanks for the link. but I will say her hair color/style looks like crap on her as that does not fit her at all and brings her down. darker hair definitely fits her more (like her more usual look we are used to).

It's that time of year again - wishing one of my favourite actresses the best on this special day.  Here are some more interviews with Noomi that I recommend checking out. I don't think anyone has mentioned "Unlocked" (2017) yet. It is a rather routine spy plot but Noomi shines in it. If a competently made, well-acted countdown to doomsday spy story is your cuppa, you could do worse. Michael Douglas and Orlando Bloom co-star.  mikef6, I actually did end up getting to watch that^ movie you suggested, and I also watched the films Angel of Mine (2019), Stockholm (2018) and Rupture (2016) for the first time, as part of my 'Noomithon' (ie. Noomi Rapace movie marathon) I had earlier this year. Though I still have yet to see Bright (2017), Close (2019) and The Secrets We Keep (2020) - here's an interview from this year about that last one. |
