SeveredCreepy Crawlers Bloody murder Bloody murder 2: Closing Camp Carnivore Children of the living deadDeadly species Engine trouble The Haunting Hour: Season 1 & 4 Are you being served?: the movie Island of terrorHe's just not that into you Superman returns Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice 👍I assume Severed is the zombies vs loggers movie. Thought about buying it more than a couple times but haven't yet. Same with Island of Terror although I saw that one once on tv when I was little. Children of the Living Dead is so bad I quit watching it, changed the channel. I have the complete series of AYBS? and the latter series AYBSAgain? aka Grace & Favour. I love AYBS, discovered it in jr high on PBS. It's the funniest 'sitcom' ever made imo. AYBSA is great too, nice to revisit old friends again in a new setting and they have a new dynamic together. Plus Mr. Moleturd and Mavis haha. I've read the Movie reuses a bunch of old gags and one liners from the show. I still want to see though. I used to watch Haunting Hour when TheHub was still a channel. A million times better than Goosebumps in my opinion. I regret not getting vols. 1-4 for $10 each when I saw them at Meijer many many years ago. I have forgotten a lot of episodes but I remember some favorites, some more than others. The cursed ice cream truck. A shadow creature that attached itself to a girl's pilot father. A brother and sister that involved the little brother falling into an empty, fresh dug grave in the locall cemetery and being replaced with a ghost. A high school putting on a musical play of Hansel & Gretel and a very real witch or was it witches crash the packed auditorium. That last one, IIRC isn't on any volumes. Not all of the episodes made it to DVD. It was a FUN and very underrated series. Better writing than you'd expect and like I said ,miles better than the much more famous Goosebumps show. Unfortunately "Severed" is from 2002 and is a low budget about a ritualistic serial killer. 😆 Yeah it's on a set of low budget horror. Which sometimes I get in the mood for. No matter how bad. I also grew up watching "AYBS" on PBS. Getting the movie was the cheapest option. The series is on Britbox I think. (Don't have it.) I've always enjoyed horror anthologies... Grew up reading "Goosebumps" and "Fear Street". Plus watching the original and other versions of "The Twilight zone" and the older and modern "Outer limits", "Tales from the Crypt", and "Tales from the Darkside"... Also discovered the 1970's show "Thriller" and "Tales of the Unexpected" on Tubi last year. Which are more Suspense based. I believe a season of "Monsters" is on IMDB TV along with season 2 of "The Haunting hour". So many of these shows are on different streaming services now... So it's a treat if they become available on Tubi or Prime etc.

DVDTaleSpin volume 3Blu ray(1980) Friday the 13th 40th Anniversary limited edition steelbook(1988) Pumpkinhead steelbook(1982) The Slumber Party Massacre steelbook(2002) The Cat Returns steelbookOf all the Disney afternoon cartoons TaleSpin was/is my favorite. Going to keep the Friday13th steel sealed for display with that wonderful classic cover art. Some neat purchases there, I think I saw you post them also in another similar themed thread with a few great images as well. While The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Darkwing Duck (among others of the classic late 80s and early 90s Disney animated shows), were my favorites, TaleSpin were one that I would never go tire of as a kid, and should probably (along with Rescue Rangers) pick up on the full DVD versions, as the Norwegian ones I got, only has a handful of episodes (in no real order either), and kind of disappointed at how lousy some of the classic Disney shows has been handled over the last 10-15 years. Winnie the Pooh should have been out ages ago, but probably never will. Shame, as it is surely one of the best ones from that period of time. Still makes me laugh and also teary at the same time, just so much emotions, great memories and more, and I was very surprised at how well it had hold up, compared to other favorite children shows from that time.

I know, rental stores are virtually extinct… with maybe an odd shop around. When I was in the city last weekend, I accidentally stumbled across one. Had an excellent selection of local releases and imports. I grabbed from their sale section “The Stalking Moon” and “Charley Varrick”. I nterestingly I came across an article on the store, which stated they were selling and hoping to find a buyer before their lease finishes at the end of February 2022. I don’t know how likely it’ll be to get a buyer, probably extremely low, but it’ll be interesting if they start to sell off their movies come the new year. I remember there were quite a few similar articles, back in the late 2000s, as the rental stores faded away, fast. And where they hoped others with similar love for the movies, would pick up and continue on. Of course, that never happened. In a few weeks, it will be 10 years (damn, time flies by) since the last official movie store in Oslo closed down. I still walk past the old (well, it is now torn down and the whole complex has been or is being rebuild) and just missed the days where I had only movies on my mind, when travelling down town, and never knowing what I had in store, as the guys running it, sure seemed to have love for b-movies and horror films. Small it was, but the selections and variaty were so much more impressive than stores, that had far bigger locations. I think some of the last films I purchased from that shop, was the complete Frasier tv-show Box-set, some Limited neat box-set of the original Evil Dead (1981) film, The Fugitive (1993) and a few I have forgotten about, right now. Had I known they would close down so soon, I would surely have picked up way more films, but by then, I guess most of the ones I were on the look out for, were already taken, or gone for good. Sadly, my recent 60-70 films bought online, has not exactly ended up in that many "impressive" ones, yet I still have a handful of films left to see. Might be some time until I end up with a similar (if ever) large impulsive buy, as I will focus more on watching movies online, and hopefully if I find some gems, search them up, and hope that they are available on DVD or Blu-ray, which is not always the case these days.

That one, I remember picking up, only because of the image/title, and think it was just last year, I "finally" saw it. Bad, but amusingly bad in several places.

Gummi Bears and TaleSpin equally have always been my favorites. I agree they've been handled very lousy and I doubt it will improve in the future despite Rescue Rangers the complete series getting a blu-ray release. The only reason that is happening is to coincide with the new Rescue Rangers movie to be released in February, exclusive to that Disney+ streaming. I know hardy anything about it but I assume it will be CGI or maybe a CGI/live action like The Smurfs and the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies. I can't do streaming. I'll pick up the series blu-ray release someday but don't know when. I've really overdone it buying movies the past 4 months. Got packages stacked up taller than me. Eventually I ended up liking Darkwing Duck more than DuckTales. Pooh was great too, I can still hear the theme song in my head and Piglet worrying.."Oh d-d-dear".

Eventually I ended up liking Darkwing Duck more than DuckTales. Pooh was great too, I can still hear the theme song in my head and Piglet worrying.."Oh d-d-dear". What often annoyed me the most, about several of the classic Disney animated shows of the 80s and 90s, when it came to DVD releases. Was the fact they "fooled" you into believing that yet another volume or season would be up next, but after a while, shows like Darkwing Duck stopped at 2 volumes, with almost a year in between of each releases (2006 and 2007). And since then, nothing. Shame, because I think at least somewhere between 25-30 (or more) episodes is still missing, and while most likely they are online (somewhere), but as a physical media fan, I just hate unfinished tv and move projects, specially as a movie and music collector. I had absolutely no idea, that Rescue Rangers is up for a complete Blu-ray release. Damn, that was, well interesting. Thanks for the update, and since I have still not gotten hold of the Volume DVDs on region 1 (only the region 2 versions, which are just a couple of random episodes, on each release). Will probably not bother with the updated Rescue Rangers stuff, as for me, the only thing that matters, is the real deal, for now. But would be a nice surprise, if anything (beside the old getting re-released) of the new movie might turn for the good. Maybe even allow other classic Disney animated shows, that has not gotten a proper or respectable handling (when it comes to DVD releases back in the day) another chance of bein re-released, but with the kind of love and care, they (and the fans) deserve. Yeah, I just do not seem to have the time nor the big interest for streaming, as the closest is when I use Youtube or other video online services (for free), in order to hunt down very hard to find films, specially within the horror and b-movie genre. And if they are up for the grabs on DVD, VHS or Blu-ray. Well, you can bet they are usually ridiculously overpriced (often because they are out of production), and I have just spent a shitload of money, on 60-70 movies, and where sadly, very few, if ever, were really something worth to keep a hold on, or re-watch. So I have to be a bit more picky or careful, with what I decide to buy next up. Easier said than done, but yeah, the Rescue Rangers Blu-ray, now that is something I really would be interested in. Darkwing Duck was one of those shows, which just hit the perfect time, when I was a kid. Gummi Bears I think I was a bit too young too really get into, and while they used to show re-runs during the ealry 90s, I was more hooked on Duck Tales, Tale Spin, Rescue Rangers and Winnie the Pooh, while Darkwing Duck kind of were the last true classic (of that era, or so I think), and what followed was Goof Troop, which I also have some strong nostalgic feelings about. But having re-watched most of the show, it feels a bit "lazy" and repetitive, in that the often overplayed slapstick routines, with Goofy just goofing around, again, and again and again, well, it just is not that much fun after a while. Still, Goof Troop does have some classic and very funny episodes, but a whole 20-30 season, is maybe a bit too much "fun", for my part that is. After that, I lost touch with most of the later Disney animated shows, even Quack Pack felt like a very unfunny and more annoying combination of tying up Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales and Goof Troop, but without the charm, fun and likeable characters. Then arrived all these hasty shows, based on their recent hit movies, like Timon and Pumpaa, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid (surprised they never made something out of Beauty and the Beast) and it just kept coming.

Agreed about Quack Pack. I actually forgot I used to watch the Aladdin series after school; high school heh.
I've still not seen the movie but the weekday cartoon was good. Nothing special, but good and it wasn't annoying. The voices seemed like a good fit for the toons on screen and I even liked Gilbert Godfrey as Iago.

DVDAll in the Family complete seriesSaw this at my local Walmart but of the two copies they had, the spider-wrap on one was so tight it had actually cut two notches into the box and the other one rattled like a box of crackerjacks, the contents smashed to bits. Went to Walmart the next town over and got a pristine set. $60 but of course this is the 27 disc set that comes without the special features/extras disc. ShoutFactory sends them to Walmarts to sell for cheaper but I knew that beforehand and am perfectly fine with it. The 28 disc sets sell for $100 to $140 at various stores and sites, sometimes on sale for $100 or so. So that means the disc with extras is worth $40 to $70 alone!!! Not to me! The most interesting extra is the two pilots each with different actors/actresses for Mike and Gloria and I can see those for free on Youtube. So this is a great value and I'm very happy to have this classic, hilarious series uncut/unedited on DVD in my collection to watch whenever I want. AITF is not shown on DirecTV or digital antenna anymore and even my library system took their copies away and out of circulation a few years ago.

Just looking through the (small) store it was probably best I’ve seen with its selection. I think I spent just under 3 hrs there on Saturday, and 2 hrs Sunday. They started selling off at the beginning of the month, but I didn’t notice until last Friday. So the sale had already been on for two weeks, & a lot good stuff/hard to get/popular genre titles went early. Especially import blurays, and Criterions. Still I managed to pick up around 40 titles. It was busy too with people grabbing bundles of DVDs/or blurays. So if something interested you, especially an import release it was best to grab as most likely it wouldn’t be there next time. Still there are three more weeks till it closes. So I might drop in one or two more times before then. I wouldn’t be surprise if there’s a fire sale for it’s last week.

Nice that you got something out of your time being spent during the last two visits. I guess sometimes, one might just miss out on a few good or interesting ones, due to maybe a bit too stressful shopping, and also not being alone on that as well. So maybe you might find something worthy of interest, with another go. 40 titles, is still pretty impressive. Hope you got a few hidden gems into the mix.
