Not a lot of movie buys this week, but I did pick up a very cheap 2017 pocket version of Stephen Kings IT and hopefully I can read it through (but I doubt) untill the movie comes on DVD/Blu-ray.

Well, I did end up with some movies after all. All DVDs
Indiana Jones - The Complete Collection I already own all of them, twice, however I noticed that some of the DVDs have a lot scrathes and marks on them, even the ones that were brand new. And I remember it caused some skipping/freeze frame trouble the last time I saw the first two out of three films (there never was any more Indiana Jones movies, just three) and so I ended up going for this almost brand new set which contains the 80s movies and one disc featuring some bonus material.
Casino Royale (1967) I have only heard bad things about it, but I do not care, this movie was so cheap that they almost threw it at me, the moments I arrived. If it sucks, then into the garbage it goes, if not, well, good for me.
Headhunters (2001) Norwegian crime-thriller. While I am not a fan of the main lead, but still, I do have heard mostly good things about it, so for the price of almost nothing, I have little to loose.
Highlander: The Source (2007) Wow, how many of these movies did they make? Anyway, another impulse buy, will probably be yet another below average film, but one that I can afford wasting my money on.
Moby Dick (2011) A mini-series starring William Hurt, Ethan Hawke and Donald Sutherland. Never read or seen any of the famous Moby Dick adventures, but this one looked, well ok/decent.
Butterfly on a Wheel (2007) Psycholochial? thriller starring Pierce Brosnan, Gerard Butler and Maria Bello.
Jack Reacher (2012) Impulse buy, not a fan of Tom Cruise but I gotta admit, he has done a impressive job in several of his action adventures before, so maybe this one might be a good one.
The Wicker Man (2006) Only bought it because of the "hype" which surrounds it, as one of the most ridiculous bad movies ever made, anyway, the original is a classic, this is probably as far away as they come.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) Impulse buy.

"White Fang" the series- A bit Cheesy at times but very watchable. The actor playing White Fang's Teen owner was 26 at the time. It's kind of noticeable sometimes. Very enjoyable.
"Tarzan: King of the Jungle" collection- 12 classic "Tarzan" films.Been a fan since I was little.
Also.. another Family film pack.
"845: The Great Train Robbery"
"Rugged Gold"
"7 alone"
"Pioneer woman"
"The long road home"
"Little heroes"
"Gulliver's travels" (cartoon)
"Alligator Pie" (puppets)
"The Momins" (animated)
"The curious adventures of Mr. WonderBird"
"The little Wizard and magic crystals" (animated)
"Tiny Kingdom"

Bought a couple of DVDs today:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 1-7 (TV-series) I already purchased some of the seasons, earlier this summer, but I forgot which, and when I found the complete series for the price of absolute nothing, well I just had to go out and get it.
Cage II: The Arena of Death (1994) Impulse buy, and looks like a low-budget/martial arts/action film, and I gotta admit some of these often turn out to be lots of fun, but I keep my hopes low.
Total Recall (2012) Only bought it because of Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel, and well, I did watch some of it, but it looked like just another big budget/generic and completely forgettable and unecassery Hollywood remake, so I might just finally get to see how bad it really is.

I never did check out 'Buffy' the series.
"Total Recall" 2012 is indeed a cruddy, soul-less Hollywood remake with no personality. Beckinsale and Biel are both scorching hot; a pity that the movie doesn't make better use of them.

I just watched the first episode of Buffy last night, and that brought me back to autumn of 1998, when I first saw an episode of the show, and I am planning on trying to watch one episode 5-6 times a week throughout october and november. Buffy for me, fits perfectly with autumn/fall and I have not seen the show since the end of 2003 when it finished during season 7. I had a blast watching it last night and Brian Thompson (The Terminator & Cobra) shows up as a vampyre, and well, it was lots of fun and I was surprised at how good the pilot/first episode turned out, as I have heard that some people said the series reached its peak during the season 3-5 but this was a very promising start and so if you end up finding a good copy of the whole series, I think you are gonna enjoy it.
Agree on the Total Recall movie (well, I have only seen about 15-20 minutes, so I might be too hard on it) but I remember that it looked more like a video game/very shallow and lacking the fun, violence and they seemed to try and make Colin to be such as bad ass that it just looked "forced" and I had to turn it off when he ended up taking out 10-15 well trained/armed soldiers within a few seconds, where as Arnie fought for his life against 4-5 guys and that bone-crunching scene was far more bad-ass/"beliaveble" than the first 20 minutes of the 2012 remake. But, since it was dirt cheap, I am giving the new one a second chance.
I have always wanted to see the Total Recall 2070 (1999) which I think was either a mini-series or a short lived TV-show, and I regret that I did not pick up the DVD when I had the chance, 10 years ago.

DVDs:
Iron Will (1994) Only bought because of nostalgia, and I have not seen it since 1994-95.
Wasabi (2001) French action/thriller/comedy? or so it says on the DVD cover. Impulse buy that stars Jean Reno in the lead role.
Flatliners (1990) This one I have been after for some while, with the remake or new version out, I guess someone thought it was a good idea to re-release the original on DVD/Blu-ray, and I am glad to finally have it in my sci-fi/thriller collection.
Rocky: The Collection The first five Rocky films, which I already own twice, but I could not ignore it, as it was sold for such a cheap price. Not a fan of what came after, so for me it was just 5 Rocky films, no more.

Resident Evil (2002) and Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) - DVD Impulse buys. I was no exactly impressed after seeing Resident Evil: Afterlife, but I thought for such a cheap price for the both of em', I might give them a chance.
The Crow: City of Angels (1996) - DVD Impulse buy. Bought the first one a couple of weeks ago, and I remember once seeing a DTV sequel with Edward Furlong, but again, I am not expecting too much of this one either.
Nirvana: Live - Unplugged In New York (1994) - DVD I was a big fan of their music back in 2002-04, but never did find a decent VHS/DVD copy of the Unplugged concert, so it was nice to find it for absolute nothing. My favorite Live concert of theirs might be the more chaotic Nirvana: Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! (1994).
MR 73 (2009) - Blu-ray Impulse buy, again. French action/thriller which looks, well, promising or at least when looking at the Blu-ray artwork.
Dawn of the Dead (2004) - DVD I might be cursing in the church when saying this, but I did not like the original all that much, I went in with too much expecations and was left, well, not impressed. Hoped for a scary and suspensful movie, but got something else, and I thought it was a big letdown considering all the hype and raving reviews from critics and fans. However, I have never seen the remake, and I think that one also got a lot of good reviews, so maybe I will enjoy this one instead.
Fright Night (1985) - DVD This one I alread own 2 other DVD version of, but I could not ignore the fact that such a classic 80s horror gem was lying in front of me, for the price of nothing.
Red Eye (2005) - DVD Only bought because of Wes Craven's name being involved, and another impulse buy.
Jacob's Ladder (1990) - DVD Creepy and unpredictable psychological-horror classic of the early 90s, along with a great cast and lots of gruesome special effects.
Sleepy Hallow (1999) - DVD I have two copies one of VHS and the other on DVD, but I could not ignore it when going for such a nicely priced item.
Stargate (1994) - DVD Great sci-fi/action-adventure that I already own a DVD version of, but I thought this DVD cover of the version I found today was far better, and I hate when good movies come out with terrible DVD-Blu-ray artwork, but as usual, the older the DVDs are, the better the artwork often is. Just look at The Terminator, Die Hard or James Bond films, every time a new "special edition" gets a release, it just ends up looking worse for every year. Keep it simple and stay with the original, that is how it should be done.
A Beautiful Mind (2001), Forrest Gump (1994) and American Beauty (1999) - Tripple DVD edition Three good movies in one, and the price is, well, ridiculous cheap.

Batman and Harley Quinn (2017) - DVD I have heard it is supposed to be real piece of shit by some critics/fans, but then again I have also heard it is a nice "throwback" to the classic Batman: The Animated Series, so, well I will have to find out for myself, and I hope it might be a pleasant surprise for a change.
The Night of the Virgin (2017) - DVD Spanish horror-comedy? or so it seems from the look of my scandinavian DVD copy, anyway, it do look interesting.
Donnie Dark (2001) - DVD I have not seen it since the early 00s, and as much as I dislike Jake Gyllenhaal as an actor, it came with some memorable scenes, a great soundtrack and maybe it might be better to watch a second time.
Scary Movie 3 (2003) - DVD I have only seen the first of the franchise, at the cinemas too back in 2000 and it was lots of braindead fun, this one however I only bought because I am a fan of Leslie Nielsen, so I expect as big pile of turd, and hopefully some funny scenes with Nielsen, nothing more.
National Lampoon's Gold Diggers (2003) - DVD Ok, I only bought this because of the name "National Lampoon's", and maybe, just maybe because of the DVD artwork where a bunch of bikini-dressed babes stands on top of an cliff/mountain all ready to entertain.
Ascension (2002) - DVD Horror movie? Well, it surel looks like it. Some pale looking female with blood coming out of their eyes and mouth and nose on the DVD cover, and again an impulse buy.
The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) - DVD Impulse buy.
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010) - DVD Impulse buy.
Natural City (2003) - DVD Korean sci-fi/thriller or so the DVD cover say, from the look of the artwork, I only bought it because of the link to Blade Runner, but it would be nice if it turns out to be a ok movie.
The Royal Teenenbaums (2001) - DVD I think Wes Anderson is one of those directors that I will never become a fan of. No matter how great they look and the talent of including actors that I like and often backed with a great use of music/soundtrack in almost every film of his. Sadly the "comedy" part is where it usually goes all wrong, for me that is. So this will probably be another watch once, then never again.
Suspect Zero (2004) - DVD Impulse buy.
The Time Machine (2002) - DVD Have not seen for a while, but I remember it to be a enjoyable adventure.
The Lady Vanishes (1979) - DVD A remake of the classic 1938 Alfred Hitchcock movie of the same name.
Moby Dick (1998) - DVD Another mini-TV series of the classic adventure with the same name.
Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) - DVD Impulse buy, the DVD cover makes it look like a mediocre watered down romantic comedy and somehow look very much the same the DVD artwork of She's All That (1999). But this is supposed to be a thriller or something else.
Firefly: The Complete Series (2002) - DVD Another TV-show that I have never seen, but wanted to. I liked the film which came out a few years after, Serenity or something like that, and I found the entire show for the price of nothing.
United (2003) - DVD Norwegian comedy about a guy coaching some kids football team, and who is a big Manchester United fan.

Sid & Nancy (1986) - DVD Never seen it, but when I found a brand new copy for the price of nothing I did not have to think twice about it.
Project X (2012) - DVD "From the director behind the Hangover trilogy" it says on the cover and well, another impulse buy.
Highlander (1986) - DVD Already own it, but this 2 disc double edition was hard to turn down for such a cheap price.
Casper (1995) - DVD A childhood favorite of mine and one I saw at the cinemas back in 95.
Blade (1998) -and Blade II (2002) - DVD Already own them, but these had better looking artwork to go with. I hate when movies I enjoy are ruined by terrible DVD artwork.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) - DVD Impulse buy.
Clueless (1995) - DVD Had a huge crush on Alicia Silverstone during the mid 90s and somehow I do not think I ever saw this film, which many seem to think of as her finest hour. Sadly her career as an upcoming leading teenage star was not gonna last very long but she did a couple of enjoyable thrillers, comedies and hell, I even thought she did ok in Batman and Robin (1997).

Alatriste (2006) - DVD Adventure/sword-fight film starring Viggo Mortensen. Impulse buy.
Jindabyne (2006) - DVD Aussie thriller starring Gabriel Byrne and Laura Linney. Impulse buy.
Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007) - DVD Crime/thriller featuring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, Marisa Tomei and Albert Finney. Impulse buy.
Steamboy (2004) - DVD Impulse buy. Most asian animated films are stunning to look at but far too often I end up having trouble with disliking the main characters, finding them to be very annoying no matter how beautiful they are.
Scorpio (1972) - DVD Action or crime thriller starring Burt Lancster. Another impulse buy.
Piglet's Big Movie (2003) - DVD Impulse buy. Bought only because of nostalgia back when I was a kid and loved reading and watching the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and his friends.
Tarzan (1999) - DVD One of few Disney animated films that I have still not seen, but after Lion King I lost interest in their movies and for me, they never came close of matching the great films of the late 80s and early to mid 90s, ever again.
Subway (1985) - DVD French crime/adventure starring Christopher Lambert and Isabelle Adjani. I remember buying it back in 2005 on DVD as the artwork looked fantastic, sadly the film was very different from what I hoped and I gave it away, but found a cheap copy of the same DVD today and thought it might do better with a second view.
Spy Kids 3D - Game Over (2003) - DVD Never seen these films, but I guess Salma Hayek is the only reason to why I picked it up, I do not expect anything from it.
Problem Child (1990) - DVD I remember this from back in the early 90s, saw it on VHS with my cousin and thought it was a riot, then I forgot the title but still rembered that "Kramer" was involved as some psycho villain, and found a DVD copy a few years back, sadly the film had not hold up well, and it was more annoying than funny. Gave away the copy, and now I wanted to see it again and found a cheap DVD, so hopefully it will do better second time around.

New:
Blood Bath [Blu-ray Collection] I have no idea what this is. Some kind of Corman production that somehow ended up being four different movies made mostly from the same footage. This box set has them all. I remember when this was released but I didn't really look into it since the box was quite expensive. Well, now it cost only 14€ so why not?
American Ninja 1-4 [Blu-ray Collection] Another price drop, all four for less than 20€.
The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave [Blu-ray] Upgrade from NoShame DVD, which wasn't that great. Neither is the movie, but I do have a soft spot for it.
Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins [Blu-ray] Watched this from TV back in the 90s. I'm old enough to remember Remo paperbacks but not old enough to have actually read any of them when this thing was still alive & popular. I remember liking the movie.
Ghost In The Shell [Blu-ray Steelbook] Mamoru Oshii's original anime adaption. Not the best cover design but this new HD transfer looks really nice.
Don't Torture A Duckling [Blu-ray] Another upgrade.
Used:
Manhattan Nocturne [DVD] Well, it sounds interesting and I like Adrien Brody.
About Schmidt [DVD] Any Jack Nicholson movie is worth buying when the price is right, since I have a long term plan of watching his entire filmography.
The Art of War [DVD] Wesley Snipes action thriller from 2000 that I skipped during its brief theatrical release because of poor reviews, thinking that I'll give it a chance on VHS. Now's the time?
John Carpenter's Vampires / Vampires: Los Muertos / Vampires: The Turning [DVD Collection] I rented Carpenter's original on VHS, didn't think much of it. Never seen the sequels. Anyway the tape was fullscreen while Carpenter always shoots in scope, so I've got my hopes up for a re-watch anyway. I didn't know before buying this box that Tommy Lee Wallace directed the first sequel. Seems like his career is dead now.
Hard Target 2 [Blu-ray] Probably quite bad, but it only cost 1€ so whatever.
The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter [DVD] This is the chapter where they're all out of ideas and the story really goes downhill. Not sure why I bought this. Another 1€ buy.
Novocaine [DVD] Steve Martin comedy from 2001. Plot outline is quite wtf in an amusing way. 0,25€ buy. At least I'm not going bankrupt because of this shit.
