This was a great film and scarier than anything in the horror genre. Early onset Alzheimer's is worse than Michael Meyers or Freddy Kruger. I felt like this movie really captured what an Alzheimer's patient loses and what it does to a family. Anyone else feel bad for her when she couldn't follow the directions for swallowing the pills? That might sound terrible, but it was what she wanted and I don't blame her. I also think the husband was an asshole for moving far enough away that it required a plane trip back.

Very scary, especially for an intelligent woman to be reduced to what she was reduced to. I dont know why, but the scene when she pisses on herself because she can't remember where the bathroom is sticks with me. The scene where she tries to tell her future self how to commit suicide was pretty rough too.

The scene where she tries to tell her future self how to commit suicide was pretty rough too. Yeah, that scene where she can't find the bathroom was heartbreaking. I had to wonder why the husband didn't check on her if she was wandering around long enough to have to piss on herself. I wanted to punch him out the whole film though. I couldn't recall the name of an actor today and I was like, great, it's probably dementia. Imagine being one of her kids and knowing there's a 100% chance you're going to lose everything in midlife?

It was a really good film that helped me to understand what Alzheimer's really does to a person and how a respective family has to cope with it. Julianne Moore's performance was really good, and even Kristen Stewart turned out to be really good in it.
