Batman versus Bane. It shows how shortsighted Bruce Wayne was beforehand and what a formidable foe Bane is. The latter has some great lines during this fight.

Wow. Was not expecting the TDKR to be taking lead in this one. Hellboy vs Nuada gets my vote.

People tend to forgive this because the narratives and characters are so strong, but TDK and TDKR really have some of the worst fight choreography of any big budget action flicks... at least in the last 30 years.

Batman vs Bane.
I don't love The Dark Knight Rises. But that was a good fight. It was dark, psychological, and done with intent to cripple Batman more than just physically. Even if his back healed, his pride is likely damaged worse. It takes a next level gangster to break someone's back as a warning shot.
It kind of makes me think of how Luke vs imaginary Darth Vader in the swamp might have turned out if it was the real Vader. I think what happened to Batman is what could have happened to Luke if Vader was real. Like an already bad dream that gets worse when you wake up.
The worst thing about it is Bane fought fairly, let Batman land some hard face-shots, and even kept a running commentary to drive the point home that Batman is not a threat to him. He could have tackled him and beat the snot out of him because he's built like a brick-shit house and fights like a boxer with the reflexes of a cat, but he just toyed with him instead. He toyed with Batman to make sure there's no ambiguity over who had won and who had lost. Bane didn't just win. Batman failed, beaten within an inch of his life on his own terms. That back-breaker is a finishing move that says even if you can get up, you shouldn't.

I'm at peace with it.
The Hellboy 2 fight really is good though.

Gah! I really wanted the Hellboy fight to win. Oh well, some other time. Batman vs. Bane moves on to the next round.
