By far. (Spoilers Below)
I can't help but feel it's misunderstood.
The story about the man with no arms or legs, being used to make money as a preformer. He didn't care about his feelings. He has no way of doing anything for himself, he's completely dependent on the man. Even the sex scene shows the man is getting what he wants and ignoring the other man's needs. Used him, then when the man was of no use to him, he was replaced by a chicken and thrown off a cliff and disposed of.
That's an amazing Allegory about show business.
The man with the gold, an Allegory about people trying to get their fortunate. Then there's always someone there to try and take it from you while you do all the work.
The Oregon Trail stroy. The girl who can't make up her mind and told what to do. Her demise was her inability to assess a situation and make a decision on her own.
It was amazing, great acting, great story telling, amazing ending.
PS. Buster Scruggs could be an entire film on it's own. Lol, so good.
