Just a funny thing I only now noticed: the similarity of frame grabs at upper and lower right to iconic images from another film in release at the same time: Inasmuch as Gone With the Wind was shot concurrently, those Remember the Night images can be neither homage nor satire; merely coincidence.

Just a funny thing I only now noticed: the similarity of frame grabs at upper and lower right to iconic images from another film in release at the same time: Some topics are of perennial interest: Yeah, there's that. One example I think is especially nice displays an ironic point along with the lingerie: House Of Wax. Carolyn Jones scandalizes Phyllis Kirk with her gaslight-era attitudes toward female empowerment while dressing for a date: "I'm moving up in the world, honey. No girl ever hits the jackpot till after she passes 14th Street. Look at me. Not too long ago, I was down on Delancey, and tonight I'll be right up there among the bright lights on 23rd."All the while, Kirk is helping her don layer upon layer of undergarments, and the dress she finally puts on reveals the skin of only her head and hands. Suitably attired, Jones sums up: "If I don't sizzle him tonight, I might as well give up."
