Everybody is skeptical about things they don't want to believe. The real trick is to be skeptical of the things you wish were true. You should try it sometime. Actually, with regard to the changes that the earth and the human collective are going to undergo in the near future, I do wish they weren't true. It really doesn't come across that way.

This is how Erjen sees the moon.

I can understand why it wouldn't. It didn't to me at one time. In case you didn't know, for much of my life I was a humanist. Some things are not enjoyable, but they are necessary. To explain it I'd have to delve into esoteric matters that you wouldn't regard as real.

So, is that a no you aren't going to look up how tides work, and tidal locking? You almost actually learned something. The other things is you have no idea about where the moon is supposed to be, and have greatly underestimated the normal variance in location it is supposed to have. I bet you havent bothered to look that up either Yes, I do, young master. I can see both the sun and the moon at present, and the moon is where it's supposed to be today. The sun always was as far as I could tell, and the stars. If they are out of whack it was a difference too small to be noted by the naked eye. And besides, the diagram that graham posted used the round earth model. Don't you think that the flat earth model should be represented as well, just to make it fair? No, you don't. Your thread about Neumayer station proved that. No, a flat earth model should not be presented, as the earth isnt flat. But that is a different discussion. So yeah, you aren't going to look up how tides work, and you aren't going to look up tidal locking. Good job. The way you avoid actually learning something is impressive.

Not really, if Antarctica is the bottom side of the flat earth. You know, like the earth looks on the United Nations flag.

No, you haven't. You just think you have. No, you just think that I just think I have. It comforts you to think that. Nope. I know it for a fact. It is impossible that the Earth's axis has wobbled enough to cause any significant difference in the moon's track across the sky. Simply impossible. I know you don't care much for facts, but that is a fact.

I find it really interesting that you have posted so much about the moon over the years, but never looked up things like where it should actually be, the normal variance of rise/set positions, and variance in its path, how tides work, what tidal locking is etc. If you had done any of these things, you'd know there is no problem, that the moon is where it is supposed to be and there is no significant axis wobble making it appear to be in the wrong position.

He doesn't want to actually learn anything about any given subject - why would he, that's really hard. Besides, learning things is for the elites. Just find a youtube video that agrees with your biases and believe it. Never mind the facts, just believe hard. It's all you need to do.

It isn't where it's supposed to be when I'm looking due South and don't even have to crane my neck to see it.

The elites keep the best knowledge for themselves, because knowledge is power and all that No, Erjen, we live in an age when the best knowledge is available to all, more so than at any time in history. But the downside of this great boon is that it's made clear the fact that there are some - many! - who are contemptuous of actually knowing things. It gets in the way of the absurdities that they want to be true. So they pretend that the world could actually just fall over one day, or that invisible planets can wander around the solar system without being noticed, or that there's a magic man in the sky that will punish all the people who actually make the effort to work things out. It's sad, but there you go. One can lead a person towards knowledge, but one cannot force them to think.

I find it rather amusing that he ascribes emotions to other people that do not fit what is actually posted. That and he so readily ignores those things that would send him on the path to knowledge. I would say ignorance is bliss but he has mentioned how miserable his life is so much I do not think it fits him well at all.

Several times Cinemachinery, the King of Liars, has claimed that I said the moon's orbit has changed. I never said that. What I said is that the earth is wobbling on its axis as the polar shift draws nearer, thus changing the relative position of the moon in the sky as seen by an observer on earth. Cine, or course, knows exactly what I said and didn't say, but he's a sociopath, so it's no stress on him at all to lie, and if he tells the same lie often enough the idea is that most people will accept it as the truth. I guess in your case Herald Ejack, it takes one sociopath to know one. I could easily have been like him, but I declined it. Let's just say that I felt a higher calling.
