I have a friend whi advised me to watch Aquaman in 3d in the biggest screen I could find. I have another friend who specifically told me to avoid 3d so I can enjoy the cinematography and fight scenes fully. Now I'm unsure which is better.

Watch it in 3D without the glasses. It will be like you’re really under water!

I saw it with all of the bells and whistles and kind of wished I just opted for IMAX alone and not 3D. I felt strangely fatigued by the end of the movie.

The 3-D in this movie is outstanding as is the cinematography - especially the weird underwater scenes. Check the 3D technical reviews - it of course depends on the screen and devices used too, I recommend IMAX quality, not digital 3D. The score is 5/5 with nearly every aspect, here a test: www.cinemablend.com/news/2464020/to-3d-or-not-to-3d-buy-the-right-aquaman-ticketThe 2D version can be watched at home any time, the 3D one will likely never see again. Only thing is that this movie's pacing and action are tense, fast and pompous which might lead to motion sickness or exhaustion the first time with some. (FtSoGO: I usually vastly prefer 2-D over 3-D, but this is an event movie made for IMAX 3D)
