Anyone see this yet? User reviews on RT tomatoes are mixed. It sounds like it definitely isn't horror, but more psychological thriller. I love psychological thrillers, but it's being called boring too. I can't tell if it's because people were being mislead to believe it's a horror film, or because it really is boring. It may be missing its target audience.

Very disappointed with this one and have so many questions regarding this film. For starters, where was the freaking pay off???!?! Yes there was SOME tension that built up which was nicely done but as the credits rolled, I turned to my buddy and said "thats it?!" And who killed /mauled the dog??? And why did the dog's barking abruptly stop in the woods???
5/10

5/10 My daughter liked it. I didnt. It's one of those claustrophobic cabin fever type movies. Basically 6 people in the film. I don't like those. I thought it should have ended after Travis looks in the mirror. I took it the dog ran into an infected person or animal. My daughter thought Travis was infected all along, But they said it only took a day so outside of his being a typhoid Mary, he lied to his dad. The reason he was out was he went to look for Stanley. That last vision was what happened. He didn't stop at the door. He went through it. The dog was attacked by whatever. Travis came back & infected Andrew. Everyone dies because of the stupid teen boy

I just saw this last night. It never should have been promoted as a horror film. It's a post-apocalyptic psychological thriller. Excellent on all points. It's a character study on human nature at its base. My only complaint is that I would have liked some back story on what lead up to the events that caused the disease that took over the world. This one of those films you want to watch more than once to really wrap your head around it and the symbolism. For anyone who enjoys this genre, it's a solid 9/10.
Also, with all the complaints about forced diversity casting, I felt like this was a perfect example of diversity casting done right.

5/10 That kind of unnecessary ambiguity is why it lost a point from me. My daughter felt like you, that it didn't go anywhere.

One stupid part is they couldn't mention the name of "The City"? Please. They cant say Denver, Spokane, Boulder, Helena, Boise or any major city near a alpine forest?

For anyone who has seen it, is it any good? Worth watching in theaters? See my review above. It's worth seeing if you are a fan of the genre. It is NOT a horror film. I don't think it lose anything off the big screen, tho.
