I have to say that I thought it a serious omission! Goz..... Nora 's current avatar reminds me so much of that wallaby avatar that you had for years on old IMDB. What is interesting is that once or twice someone mistook Nora for you because she is also not an American, is a blonde and is alleged to be an anti-American (by the member called poelzig). yeah I have no idea why Poelzig thinks I am anti american. I mean - I voluntarily moved here. I even started celebrating US holidays and DECORATING per local holidays customs But then again, Poelzig often says incorrect assumptions/is mistaken about people/ things so why wonder...

In order of importance.
1. Films - I prefer watching at home. I can lounge in comfort, while eating and drinking snacks which don't cost a fortune. I can pause the film if necessary or even go back a bit if I missed something. But most of all, I don't have to tolerate the annoyances of people who cannot remain quiet or refrain from texting. I watch favorite films repeatedly to better absorb them.
2. TV series - A few, mostly drama and I never watch reality shows. I prefer a series to eventually have an ending and not go on and on and on until I'm sick of it.
3. News and Documentaries - I check in with the news daily to get the main stories. Some of the things which pass for news are laughable. Only occasionally do I watch a documentary.
4. Sport - NFL from Thanksgiving to the Super Bowl. Baseball playoffs through World Series. Some of the Olympics when they're on.

I loved my wallaby avatar. It was a photo I took myself of a wallaby being hand fed on holidays. I decided to go generic on here, though there are beach umbrellas in the background which is indicative of where I live at the beach in Sydney.

Poelzig is pretty much anti everything. He would be totally draining to be around. but he is a good example of how mistakes are made and perpetuated. and to think people like that would probably claim they live in the most correct reality... it makes u wonder how humans even accomplish anything ever since their realities can be this muddy. and thats inly the thing i can see / verify he is clearly wrong on... but i like the idea of multiple realities coexisting next to each other. its inspiring. so poelzig does bring something good to “this world” by all means.

They have their place. Are there any films about goats? Well, there's The Men Who Stare at Goats. Where I come from those men are perverts.

Hey now. Are you saying Goz is a pervert?

Fair enough, it seems like your interest tends more toward newer films and if you live in large city you probably get a decent amount of older films showing at cinemas/galleries etc. My interests lean more toward older films so I find I "have" to watch a lot of stuff at home if I want to see the things I'm interested in. Nothing beats a cinema showing though so I still try to catch older films on the big screen if the opportunity comes up as well as getting to a few new release each year. whats also really interesting to experience in the cinema with a crowd or at least few other people is to see in real time how people view and react to a particular movie. during the summer i saw the graduate for the first time in the cinema (i did see that one dozens of time on tv an a vhs tape growing up but never in the cinema) and I was surprised to learn where people laughed and how much. to me it was always predominantly a drama but here i realized maybe to americans its a dramedy or they certainly seemed to have found more humor in it. and i like those experiences, even if i dont speak to the other people there, the observation of the crowd behaviour and reaction to the movie does add to my overall experience. i also love when people clap after a movie. or even during a movie. i mean thats such a nonsensical reaction since there is nobody from the creators who would see it. but people still do it. its CLEARLY about communicating ones emotions to the rest of the crowd. Love that. Been a long time since I've seen The Graduate, but I recall find it amusing in parts. Clapping for a film happens a lot at festivals, even if no one involved in the film is present. I think it's a great communal thing, showing a shared appreciation of the film you've just seen. I'll usually clap in those situations but how enthusiastically will depend on how I felt about the film.

Enjoy most watching films. Actually end up watching more news, though. But enjoy listening to podcasts more than either.
