^ thank you so much, havenless. Fanboy butt hurt like this makes this SO much more enjoyable than just crunching dry numbers (which would otherwise be below my paygrade). BtW, in the meantime Aqua crossed 600M within no time is carefully projected as 1B contender and is highest grossing opener in some countries since the dawn of filmmaking (cf box office thread for more).
And LOL², did you really just compare the end result of the third Nolan Batman film with the opening box office results of a freaking DCEU Aquaman movie...?
Yes. Once upon a time these movies had more hope than just being LOL’d at. And breaking opening weekend records for countries with a box office haul of under 500k is... I don’t know what that is. Congratulations Yugoslavia, you made people respect Aquaman. Cry me a salty fanboy river. You know the Nile is not just a river in Egypt? Anyway, I bet Aquaman would swimm splendidly in it.

The Nile is also something else other than a river that Aquaman would swim in? What? Name calling as well, what an insteresing tactic to defend your point.

The Nile is also something else other than a river that Aquaman would swim in? What? Name calling as well, what an insteresing tactic to defend your point. The mighty Nile is pronounced "denial"...the latter of which, while not composed of water, is still a salty element you seem happy to dive into. But don't get sensitive nipples over it, palio: Its only a (DCEU) movie.

I understand the reference you were trying to pull off. Then implying Aquaman would still swim up it was what made it odd, And again, the Nile was never salty, so saying “is still a salty element” is relative to What? it’s like you know the line you’re going for but you have trouble translating it to the keyboard. Aquaman won’t make anything near 1 billion as you’ve been promoting in other threads. I’m not a salty fanboy, I’m just more of a realist than you.

Ah, so it's your ignorance of science that confused you. Very salty waters make things float even more, try the Dead Sea.
Aquaman had no difficuties swimming through oceans of salty fanboy rivers, despite their best efforts.
"As you know, salt is like buoyancy...all it takes is a little push.”
I nevers claimed it was. My methaphor was too deep for you: Your fanboy tears of de-nial form a salty river. Not the Nile.
lol
I haven't. I have quoted predictions by Forbes & Co, and not condoned or condemned them.
You are bashing a straw man. Now ask me what a straw man is, please.
I believe you. Still, you are also swimming on a salty river of the-Nile.

I liked the movie. One day we’ll aspire to make top movie money, and not be content with 500-600m$. “You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun.” turned out that was not Superman, may not be Aquaman. I don’t know if they’re setting up WW to be a leading lady to fill this role. Still think flash will be the hero to save the DCEU. Hopefully they recast.

I liked the movie. One day we’ll aspire to make top movie money, and not be content with 500-600m$. . You will be delighted to hear that it has already passed 600M and beat MoS and JL. It will in the end be extremely profitable considering the relatively low production budget. DCEU needs no saving. Last year it created the best reviewed and most profitable CBM with WonderWoman (before Sony's SM:HC, or MCU's Thor Fragglerock and GotRT last). WW was also an historic milestone and curse breaker and won Critic's Choice, Hugo and other prestigious awards.
All the DCEU movies made big profits except JL. DCEU with it's 3rd film had already more Oscars than MCU up to date.
This year DCEU is making a highly succesful splash with Aquaman, the formerly most ridiculed superhero. Next year will be even more interesting with one DCEU comedy-film and one elseworld film, Joker, which might entail Logan-eque potential as an adult CBM.
A Flash film would be great. But only after the never-ending TV show has played out.

They can make Flash and Flash coexist. Superman has been on tv as has Batman for awhile now. Audiences can discern which is and isn’t what. Not a lot different than a Spider-Man cartoon, Spider-Man cartoon movie, and Spider-Man live action being recognizably unrelated. What is GotRT?

I don't think I ever saw your answer to the question of: Would you be Ok if they Recast Superman and Batman in the DCEU? I know it's never really been confirmed that Ben and Henry are leaving. If they are would you quietly nix the two characters in the DCEU, Recast the original Characters and treat them the same, or maybe recast them as new characters in a parallel earth and bring them over.

They are of lesser concern IMO. For continuity reasons I'd prefer the actors stay in the DCEU as cameos or ensemble (while there can be elseworld versions, such as currently SM in Supergirl or Flash). But if they don't work, they don't work. Then a suitable replacement must be introduced sensibly (as you suggest) and only after the B-row characters have taken center stage. DCEU should not be a stage for the old guard anyways. We got enough great Superman and Batman material and people are super critical of anything new. The DC Extended Universe should be about fresh unexplored characters like WW, Aquaman, Flash, Shazam, Birds of Prey and whatshisface else.

I'd like GL movie just don't know if time has erased the stigma of the last. (Which in all fairness I did enjoy. I never thought it was great, but no where near the comparison to Fant4stic I've seen floating around) Booster Gold my dream casting of nathan fillion and alan tudyk is past its sell by date though The Question fuckit let Jeffrey Combs play him loved his voice work and he could with the face. Swamp Thing I think theres been enough time between now and the 2 movies and Tv Show. The Movie needs to be part straight "body horror" Horror movie though. and possibly a Hawkgirl/man movie.

Yeah, no, there's no curse. The MCU has won multiple Critics Choice's and Hugo awards long before Wonder Woman. And the Oscar for Suicide Squad doesn't negate that it's a shitty film. Nice try, trying to prop up the DCEU more than it deserves.

And it's starting to become more likely that Black Panther will receive a Best Picture nomination, the first superhero film to be nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Picture Drama, and the first to be nominated for Best Ensemble at the SAG Awards.

We're talking about a movie about the formerly goofiest member of the Justice League, starring the likes of Jason Momoa and Amber Heard, neither of which have ever been a box office draw, while also having an unknown as Manta.
Live-action Aquaman's biggest claim to fame before this was as a fictional James Cameron movie on the television show Entourage, and a horrific pilot on The CW.
And this movie is somehow going to surpass a Superman movie AND a Justice League movie. The latter of which actually introduced the character.
This movie is doing fine lol.
