well this was a really pleasant surprise. turns out all the tired franchize needed was a really talented actress in the leading role and less megalomaniac director and it makes for a really compelling flick that can easilly be the best or second best movie from the series.
i understand some people miss the overthetop action scenes and thirsty slowmo of โteenageโ boobs and asses but this was a really solid movie on its own.
8/10. mostly because hailee is So talented, she easilly carries the movie across any potential weaknesses (too much melodrama in the script).
this way i actually look forward to another transformer movie. oh and also - this is the first movie from the entire saga that made me want a transformer... I think that counts for something too.

it was just like the first movie with less action and less cringe charlie = sam+mikela annoying parents still exist product placement every 5 mins pretty much yes (i for once didnt notice any annoying PP uf any at all) but Hailee makes such a difference. She takes it to a compl diff level, because of how good of an actress she is. Their bonding with BB is not only belieavable but also really engaging. Or at least it was for me. Not that I wouldnt like Shia I do and think he is also quite talented. But this was just so much better than Transformers 2-5. I honestly didnt think the franchise was salvageable at this point and was progen wrong. Happy to be.

yeah it was definitely a pleasant surprise for me as well. . (So glad Michael Bay didn't direct this one ) . Also , Hailee Steinfeld (sp?) was so charming & likable in this . She is gonna have a long successful career . solid 7/10

I'll see it, voting with my wallet as it were. I can't have TF G1 live action go unacknowledged by me, if for no other reason my childhood self would slap me if I ignored it.

I enjoyed this too. It was a treat seeing the transformers more closely resembling their original looks from the cartoons and toys. I like steinfeld too. The fro dude was pretty cool too. I guess being kinda dorky can be endearing sometimes.a little slow int he middle but not as slow as equalizer 2.

By far the best and only watchable Transformers movie.
Still too generic and unmemorable. Does nothing new as film except ripping off better films like ET to the t. Humor was too childish at times but it's a Transformers film in the end.
6/10

What's funny about that E.T./80's trope stuff I read going in was how fitting it rather is for the Transformers G1 callback. The show was scattered with 80's stuff trying to fit in. This movie simply takes that baton. I feel like TF BB plays like a long form TF G1 episode.
