I've recently watched two total bombs he was in, Humanity Bureau and Left Behind. The suck factor was high for both of these films, and I'm amazed he is doing such low budget crap when he was such an A-list actor previously. I've never heard he was a drinker or a nightmare to work with like Val Kilmer, so what is going on with him?

Cage in shitty movies is not a new phenomena. I heard Mandy is pretty good, though.

Any leading man's filmography is loaded with turkeys....

He spent money like crazy and has IRS debts, so he accepts any role they offer him.

He has been in some terrible movies the last 10 years, but I hope Mandy is his big comeback. Probably my favorite performance by him (I still have to see Adaptation.).

Last I read about it, he had some tax problems and apparently bought everything except Disneyland. So he took on really shitty roles to pay for stuff. Dammit Vits beat me to it.

I think a costly divorce or two also hurt his money and made him take any acting job offered to him.

Who needs 15 homes and 4 yachts? Some of that other stuff is very cool though, like the dinosaur skulls and Superman comic. If he used the cobras for protection, inquiring minds want to know how that was done. It's not like you can just let them out loose. I would love to have seen the aquarium he had for the shark, althought I disagree with him keeping such a thing as a pet.

At one point he was actually suppsoed to be in a Superman film. There's even a picture of it: ![](https://s3.birthmoviesdeath.com/images/made/nicolas_cage_superman_lives_1050_591_81_s_c1.jpg)

I'm going to give Inconceivable on Netflix a try. It sounds solid, but they clearly cut corners on his his hair piece ![:|](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/plain.png) ![](https://rogermooresmovienation.files.wordpress.com/2018/08/incon1.jpg?w=640)

I'm developing a script for Nick , called Mika !
It is about a Manager of Ikea who having worked there from leaving college is going through a mid-life crisis . With pressure to keep the store competitve with more progressive online modular furniture groups , he begins to suffer insomnia , becoming antisocial with his neighbours and relatives . As his social situation worsens , one of his side-effects is agoraphobia . His paranoia overtakes his reasoning , believing people are plotting against him , he plans to lock himself in the Ikea complex and live there . He secretly stores food supplies and building hardware to board up the building in the coming holiday break . But some of his staff are beginning to notice his secretive remote behaviour and some are starting to watch his furtive behaviour and actions , and he has noticed their wariness toward him too . He calms himself as the holidays approach lessening the inquisitive concern of workers and staff . The day finally arrives , and all are relieved for the break , and being the manager stays on to lock up , and begins to get out his hardware to seal the building permanently.. to be continued
