Oh well if we are including the water in my Pepsi then yeah that too. Usually at least 1-1.5 cans of Pepsi most days with my meal. Very occasionally I will supplement for a Mountain Dew or Purple Fanta. Plenty of ice for me too. Ice makes it better. Why diet Pepsi though? Diet drinks are crap. I prefer diet soft drink, often cut 50/50 with water or ice.
Otherwise, it just tastes too sweet to me.
I agree soft drinks are too sweet. That's why I like lots of ice in mine (and I wait a bit before drinking so the ice can melt). Also could be one of the reasons I prefer Pepsi over Coke, it being less sweet (yet if you look at the ingredients, Pepsi's sugar count is actually slightly higher somehow. Not too sure how that works. I guess the combination and how it's mixed etc Diet is not the way to go though. They're not really much less sweet. Just a different kind of sweet, artificial, and tastes weird. I pretty much avoid all fruit juices, as they seem to be even sweeter than soft drinks. The only kind I like is the pure 100% orange juice and nothing else juices, with nothing extra added. Pulp free though

2. I like the taste, so everyone to their own...
3. I also add cask water to various fruit juices.
A 50/50 mix of water and fruit juice means 50% less sugar.

CynicalDreamer2I just don't see how someone could dislike water (at least purified water) to any higher degree. sure, I generally prefer something with taste when eating food in general (i.e. Coke/Mtn Dew) but I still drink some water in a typical day without eating anything. because as they say... if you wait til your thirsty to drink water your already at least slightly dehydrated. p.s. I drink purified water.

The other downside is always having to use the restroom.

CynicalDreamer2I see what you mean as I am aware others feel similar to you. I guess maybe I got it a bit easier in that regard. because when it comes to food I definitely want Coke or Mountain Dew with it as a general rule but when I drink water it's typically just on the side when I am not eating food with it. you even have to force down water even when it's hot outside? ; because I could see it being harder to force down say in the winter but in the summer it seems like it would be easier for you. but even if you go with the 'forcing it down' mindset... I would just get a 8-16oz of it a day and drink it fast as you can get hat down pretty quickly. also, it's not like it taste bad like some stuff out there as water is more of a neutral thing where as some stuff has more of a negative taste and that's when forcing it down really comes into play. Yeah, just don't drink a ton of it and you should be fine as I would assume it's normal to go to the bathroom here and there throughout a typical day as those people who barely go to the bathroom are probably dehydrated. hell, you can roughly tell by the color of your urine as it seems like urine with slight color in it is optimal as you don't want it too clear but not too dark, or especially cloudy, either. so while mine changes here and there I am in the more optimal range a fair amount or nothing in that cloudy range which is mainly when things are bad.

When I’m doing something active it’s not hard at all but if I’m just chilling in the house, it’s the very last thing I want so I drink it in the morning to get it out of the way and I MIGHT drink more in the afternoon. Lord, those 16oz bottles are intimidating to me. And those folks who walk around with those big water bottles all day is a definite no. What I buy are those little 8 oz bottles because I can guzzle it down and be done. Only if I’m working out do I bust out my water bottle. It’s a touch dusty now...

I use to hardly drink water, but now I drink atleast 5-6 glasses per week That's not nearly enough to keep your body healthy. I usually drink 6 -7 glasses of water daily. That is not counting green tea, coffee or red tea.

Probably 3-4 liters a day. Over 20 years ago I stopped drinking everything but water. I drink a couple of glasses with meals and sip on water all day. I carry a bottle with me whenever I leave the house. I prefer cold water even in the wintertime. It wasn't too difficult. Slugging down sodas and juices all the time is just another bad habit. Once every few months I allow myself a Coke or an orange juice because they are so delicious.

Heaps. I drink more water than any other drink I have but I only like to drink it when it is cold from being in a fridge and am not a fan of water when it is warm or room temperature.

This seems like a crazy amount. Like 12 bottles of water.

I use to hardly drink water, but now I drink at least 5-6 glasses per weekDid you really per week or was that a mistake? One glass per day (rounding up) is very little and not healthy.
On workdays when I am in the office I drink two mugs of green tea in the morning, and then several glasses of filtered water throughout the day.
