Watched it a few times many, many years ago. I remember finding it bleak and depressing. A very grim viewing experience. Not a bad movie by any means, but hardly life-affirming. Though I don't recall how matters resolved themselves. Requires a re-watch at some point.

I didn't use to like it, but it has grown on me.
It is a clever and frightening satire about totalitarianism and is made very memorable by Terry Gilliam's wonderfully creative visual style.
I love the stuff with Jonathan Pryce's character imagining himself as a flying hero in an attempt to escape from his tedious reality.
